Am I Here? No, But I Am Somewhere…

The orange and blue here in Auburn just don’t feel as friendly to me as they did last week when I kicked around Gainesville. Maybe the people here need an attitude adjustment like that used by this (former) University of Florida professor. (for those who cannot follow the link, there is video of this professor who appears to be stoned while lecturing)

I am sitting in another overly-air-conditioned hotel room, sneezing and brewing a cup of coffee to combat the chill. Currently I am proud of myself for not only correctly guessing how much water should be poured into the mini-coffeemaker, but also for troubleshooting the reason it would not turn on. And this is all occurring in one the better hotels in which I have stayed…

I will say that one good thing about waking up in the Central Time Zone is that I feel more productive because it feels like I’ve gotten up so much earlier.

Rain? WTF!!!
What is it with me going to Braves’ games and Atlanta getting rain? We haven’t had much rain in days and on the evening I have a ticket there is a 40% chance of thunderstorms. Further, this is the only day this week for which rain is predicted. Dammit!

And yes I am aware that the Braves have been handing the Mets their asses this week, but I have been waiting fourteen years to gloat…

License To Steal?
At the end of yesterday’s career fair my co-worker and I walked into the parking lot and had an encounter with an older guy that we had talked to earlier. In the parking lot he was complaining that someone had stolen the pewter Auburn license plate from the front of his car. And here I was worrying that my (Alabama Crimson Tide / Georgia Bulldog) red Accord with the University of Florida license plate surround was going to be a target for vandalism…

None today…

Eventhough the weather in Auburn was beautiful I didn’t get a chance to walk the campus and shoot. The career fair at Auburn ran from 3pm-7pm CDT and after having dinner and then a beer at the local Mellow Mushroom it was time for me to crash. Today I’ll be interviewing students and then jumping into the Jackmobile to head back to the Eastern Time Zone.

If I happen to shoot anything interesting between now and my first interview at 8:30am CDT I will update this space.

Here you are, and two shots no less…

Don't Know Much About Geography

Is there really a West “Coast” of Georgia?

And now for some ideas stolen from LiveJournal…
Current Mood – [insert your favorite word for “lost, depressed, lonely” here]
Current Music – none
Website Of The Day – Since I’ve had such a lousy week it’s not surprising that I stumbled upon The Grouchy Grammarian.
Exercise (b)Log – none, I’m lazy

Cheers,

Paulie, of course there’s is a West coast of Georgia… if you are standing just South of Russia and just East of the Black Sea 😉
