I Will Huff And Puff

Huffing and puffing were the order of the day on my three-mile jaunt yesterday afternoon. I am sure that more of the same can be expected tonight during the four-mile run that I will be putting in at George’s. Hey look at me! I’m training! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Read Along With Me
Today’s passage from Notes To Myself.

My prayer is: I will be what I will be and I will do what I will do.

All I want to do, need to do, is stay in rhythm with myself. All I want is to do what I do and not try to do what I don’t do. Just do what I do. Just keep pace with myself. Just be what I will be.

“I will be what I will be” — but I am now what I am, and here is where I will spend my energy. I need all my energy to be what I am today. Today I will work in rhythm with myself and not with what I “should be.” And to work in rhythm with myself I must keep turned in to myself.

God revealed his name to Moses, and it was: I AM WHAT I AM.

To all who have helped me — Thanks.

At The Good Old Hockey Game
Other than the awesome seat in which I sat last night the fact that I heard the “Good Old Hockey Game” song for the first time this season was the highlight of the hockey game. The Thrashers took a 4-1 thumping at the hands of the Philadelphia Flyers, whose fans were out in force and incredibly polite (who are these Flyer fans?)

I took a bunch of photos (mostly of things occurring not during play) but I’ve yet to have the time to process them.

There was just something about the juxtaposition of these building tops that intrigued me.

In other news, I am starting to scratch the surface on how to use my new camera.

CD Pick Of The Week
I just realized that I missed yesterday’s CD releases. I just looked at the list; I didn’t miss much.

There are way too many “dos” in that paragraph. I had to pay attention as I read.
Sorry the Thrashers sucked, they interviewed Bobby Holik for the news and he said for some unknown reason it was like they all forgot to show up & play.
We won at trivia, but no sports questions & no Elvis question.

Perhaps that’s the point? ๐Ÿ™‚ I just type them as I read them.

I thought they played a good first period and then the wheels feel off the cart.

No Elvis question? That’s just wrong given that it would have been the King’s birthday. Congrats on your victory.

  3. Martha says:

Are you running at 6? I need someone in the B group to run with.

  4. Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

The plan is to run four at six. These will not be fast miles that you are accustomed to doing so you may want to keep your options open to see who arrives for the six o’clock crowd.

  5. willy says:

All….. I’m doing a slow 5@6……..or is it 6@5…….or whatever…..maybe the weather will encourage more folks to come out. Last week was kinda lame….but at least the bar wasn’t crowded…..Willy

I forget why I abandoned last Wednesday. I could look back at the blog, but I’m too lazy. I think that I was getting my hair extensions done that day. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  7. Stacy says:

I’ve come to realize that I’m a bad luck charm for the Thrashers and should relinquish any upcoming tickets I may get. ๐Ÿ™

  8. willy says:

@ Stacy……If you choose to relinquish……..I’ll take them off your hands. No good luck implied however!….

  9. Martha says:

Yes, you’re right at the break neck speeds I’m use to running someone could get hurt…right????

I think it was about 40 below last Wednesday…that is why I skipped it.
