hey Paulie - I was just thinking 38 55 only equals 93. You need at least 1 other bike ride this month. Dunkin Honuts & I are trying to possibly plan something for this next saturday morning. (also, we are going to meet at Silver Comet on Wed. but that is so out of your way, I know you'd never want to battle that traffic)

Of course Nashville is seven hours away for me because I follow Jill the GPS' directions. :) Which reminds me, she has no idea where Office Max stores are in the Atlanta area. I followed her directions twice on Saturday and didn't find one at either location she brought me to.

I wound up locating one using my phone and they didn't have what I was seeking (see tomorrow's blog post) but I found one at the store on Cobb Parkway yesterday.

Oh, she also mispronounces "Office Max" as "Offica'max".

I've was meaning to tell you about the Cheerwine I saw at Kroger on Friday when I was buying the hash sodas, and now it is no surprise. Now if we could just get Yuengling here. We did buy a bunch of Yuengling in Chattanooga yesterday for the wheelhopper hash coolers. (How's that for a carrot to dangle to get you to a Wheelhopper hash?)

And - supposedly New Belgium products are now in Nashville, but we didn't see any at the Food Lion...... maybe someday, Fat Tire and Blue Paddle only 2 hours away...... we can dream......

Don't feel bad Paulie. I have to say I have lived my entire life in the South, and have never been much of a Civil War buff.

I can only tell you we let the Yankees think they won...

For those able to run 5.5 miles the run was great. I not only could not complete that, I got lost! Luckily I had a map and the kindness of strangers to set me right. The liquids were refreshing, the bagels and smears delicious... all that was missing from the meal was bacon.

Sadly, I know very little of our country's history. I was astonished and awed to see some of the terrain and the monuments marking the history which unfolded on that land.

This weekend is the first time the cemetery has been open since the tornado.

Sounds like the run was fun, sorry I missed it.

Nick Hornby is a British writer. He is probably best known for the novels "High Fidelity" and "About A Boy" both of which were made into movies.

I got no more than twenty minutes in the cemetery. After the shot I posted today the skies opened up spilling buckets of water. What I did see were some really large trees down. I know that some of the monuments were also damaged, but I was unable to get to those -- although I did see one Confederate headstone which was popped completely out of the ground.

Who is Nick Hornby? I'm not familiar...

And how has the cemetary faired after the tornado? I was worried the trees might not have fared very well...

I am on my way! Of course while cleaning this weekend I saw that I own about twenty books (some of which I've literally owned for years) that I want to read but have not yet. I think this, along with my need to spend money elsewhere, will push my Kindle purchase back a bit.
