The cops make total sense if you understand how Atlanta works. Virginia Highland is a rich neighborhood full of white people. Therefore, they have an oversupply of police to fight crime - we wouldn't want the rich white people getting robbed at gunpoint, you know. The officers you saw were just bored, it was a slow night.

I live in Zone 5, which is [1] poor, and [2] non-white. Even if we installed a donut shop, no cops would show up. Now I did see a couple of cops walking a beat last night on the Art Stroll in Castleberry Hill. While this didn't fit the paradigm, after looking around I realized why they were there. Most Art Stroll participants where clearly white, and probably rich (as poor people such as myself don't buy art). Hence, police HQ dispatched a few to patrol.

In conclusion, if you would like cops in your neighborhood fighting crime, convince an overwhelming number of rich white people to move in.

Now Gentri - a bike for every season & weather type - wrong! A road bike for pavement, and a mountain bike for trails, and the silly cruiser bike that I rarely ride. that's it.....

They just want to save a damsel in distress.

In other news this Fox Bros BBQ is delicious. I've already finished 6 smoked wings, and am working on my Tomminator and second Red Hook ESB.

I don't even have an extra tube for my mt. bike, a fact that caused me a little distress as I passed two folks with flats on the last wheelhopper. Got to get that man to fix me up, letting me ride without the proper gear...geez I thought he liked me ;-)

You know, for a guy that doesn't ride his bicycle very often, Paulie has lots of extras. I don't have any spare set of tires for my bike, and you all know who I live with.

The tires I have on now are complete slicks, nary a hint of tread on them. I have slightly-"treaded" tires that would handle water much better.

@Paulie.. you have specific rain tires? I raced for a few years and I NEVER had rain tires. Just let a little air out and you'll still be able to corner!
@Michelle.. I might have to clean my bike up and look presentable if I'm going to ride with you!
