Don’t be so hard on the waitress – service folks need to buy gas too in this Bush economy.

However, in the review of Fox Brothers I never got around to writing about, I was going to mention the server, while a hottie, could really use a bit of training. Back to the Bush economy, one positive of the recession and skyrocketing unemployment is that restaurants and bars will have a larger pool of applicants and won’t have to settle for bottom of the barrel folks. Unfortunately, one of those applicants might be me.

That’s a very good question. I read your post about pixelpost the other day and meant to reply but forgot exactly how I did it. It looks like I installed it at the root. It created various folders (addons, languages, includes, doc, templates, images, thumbnails) and an index.php at the root. I believe I tried originally to do something fancy like “pics.whitestatic.com” but gave up and just decided to make it easy on myself and use it as my main interface.

Under the admin panel for it (I believe it’s domainname/admin…or this might be custom when you install) I have the site name as just my root domain. I think the biggest issue I ran into was getting the database set up with my provider, I had to set it up like 3 or 4 different times before it worked–it was just user error on my part I’m sure, given my lack of knowledge for all things code (which shouldn’t be an issue for you).

Actually there was a Bob Mould song (Paralyzed) available for download – the only good pick from the 100s available. I suppose Amazon isn’t too worried about tech-savvy seniors downloading all that Dinah Shore and Dean Martin.

Btw, did you see google added walking directions to their maps? Apparently in “beta” and offered on distances up to 6.2 miles (10k).

You know, the crazy thing? I practically live in Athens these days and the thought of getting there for sunrise is crazy even to me. Of course, maybe your photos will inspire me to get up and do it sometime too.
