The house next door to us just had theirs stolen We interrupted the thieving bastards yesterday and called the police but the got away with one unit. Then just now they came back for the one they missed. Hubs was on the phone to 911 and we could only helplessly watch as the bastards drove off while the dispatcher was still taking information. They even used the same van as yesterday. It’s ridiculous. Fuckers.

I wish that I could daftly say that I have diminished my fear of heights. Perhaps I no longer fear heights, but have a very healthy respect for them?

As long as you’re taking recommendations from outside GA, I can add a North Carolina endorsement of the Stephen Kellogg & The Sixers shows – good music and lots of energy – you won’t be disappointed.

Kudos for actually scaling the roof – perhaps hashing and adventure races have helped diminish your fear of heights???

Oh, it’s that Shari? Wow. Coming from Indiana to see the show? Now that’s dedication!

The Angel closed as part of the Derrick Lawford Pubs demise (see also the closing of The Prince of Wales, The Fox and Hound, etc). You are not too out of the loop however, as this all went down within the last year.

Shari sure is pimpin’ out that concert! And in her un-asked-for defense, she doesn’t know the name of the bar (even though she got it mostly correct) because she lives in friggin INDIANA but is coming down for the show.

And wow I’m way out of the loop. The Angel closed? Hahahaha yeah probably years ago for all I know. The only think I liked there anyway were their bleu cheese chips. Lots of good luck wishes for Maigh’s friends and their new establishment — it’d be nice to see something succeed there!

Hmmm, I’ve heard of Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers but have never heard any of their music. Perhaps I should check them out.

Not sure if it’s your cup of tea or not, but Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers (www.sk6ers.com or myspace sk6ers) will be at Smith’s Old Bar (that might not be the exact name, Smith’s something, on Piedmont) on 9/13. Even if you’re not sure you’ll like the music, it’s still worth taking a chance on, they do a fantastic live show, tons of energy and banter and pure enjoyment of performing. Plus there’s a rumor they’re bringing back The Lift, a la Dirty Dancing. That’s worth the price of a ticket right there
