I know exactly what you mean. The audio is much easier to get through. I could never get through the written text either, but I've listened to the audio several times over the years.

That's a great suggestion David. I've been trying to read that book for years. I guess the first habit is to read the book completely?

Re: self-help Audible book, the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Steven Covey is a great starting point. I recommend listening more than once.

Tybee is this weekend? I thought that it was last weekend because it always used to fall on the same weekend as the Super Bowl.

My two cents about knees since I had two ACL reconstructions. Go down the stairs backward! It works. You'll look like a dork, but a dork with no pain. Reminds me of MC and the Tybee half...which is this weekend, btw.

The only CFL bulb I've had burn out, is the front porch light, I think you can buy special ones for outdoor use, the one in the hallway has been there for a couple of years (the first CFL installed) but only time will tell.

I'm about to replace the relatively new fixtures in the kitchen, the bulbs are about $3-4 a piece and I've replaced all six of them, twice, in the past 18 months...they are super bright and great for kitchen use but just too expensive to justify and a pain in the ass to replace.

Reminds me I still need to contact the electrican.

I replace many with CF bulbs, but this is on a dimmer and I don't like the way the "special dimmer-capable" CD bulbs act. I'm also calling BullShit on the length of time a CF bulb will last. I've taken to dating the bulbs when installing them and will have photographic proof some day that they aren't the savior they are touted to be.

My PT told me that walking down stairs is about the hardest thing for your knees to do. Which was sort of good news for me, since that was the only time I was having problems with my ACL. I've noticed I have my lastest 'knee issue' after running down hill, but again it works itself out after a few minutes.

I save a step on changing the lightbulb by having all 60 watt bulbs, with the exception of a few speciallity bulb. I hope you are replacing your burnt out bulbs with CFLs. I think I've converted just about all of mine at this point.

As for reading, I just got Chi Running, JRob suggested it...I'll let you know what I think.
