We end up throwing out too many veggies - I buy too much for one meal, and then "forget" I what I have in the fridge. Or, we do what may be happening tonight, going out to dinner when we weren't planning on it.
I think we may be meeting Dean (aka Jack*ss) at Tasty China, he has to bring something up this way, and wants to go there, and how can we say no?! But hey - being it is Ash Wednesday, I can be a good Catholic (don't all you fall over laughing please) and eat fish or veggies and be perfectly happy. Maybe I'll get called one of "those" people.

Beth, just name the day... Don't worry about keeping up, it isn't easy. I've been thinking about making up trading cards with pictures, likes, dislike, ratings, etc...that way everyone can play along.

Paulie -- we kept track of how much we spent on food for a few weeks and were really surprised. We do eat a lot of veggies and don't skimp on the meat products but when you write it all down it isn't cheap.

Martha -- we need to have a girl's night soon so I know what new guy you are talking about. I think I'm two or three guys behind :)

Steve that will make two of us...I've been so tired lately, just no energy. I was dragging this morning, I barely made the cut-off for 1A on Saturday plus I have a date tonight after George's.

My dad is still pretty sharp- can't hear worth a crap, though (much like his son).

Martha- I haven't had a decent run in more than 3 weeks- I'll hang on as long as I can.

The genes on my dad's side of the family are great. Grandpa Cress smoked like a chimney until his mid 60s and drank heavily most of his life. He lived to be 88 and had full mental faculties til the very end....

@Steve, we will see if you can keep that sense of humor tonight while running (lately I haven't been able to)... you are going to run tonight??? Trying to get the 'new guy' to meet us there.

I've said it before (not that anyone listens), keeping track of what you eat (a food diary, etc) makes you very aware of what you are putting into your body, this project could have hidden benefits.

So, I just checked out your new blog, and I gotta say, you will lose some weight on this diet. I'm going to guess 5 lbs this week. Just by not drinking beer, and really examining what you eat because you have to figure out the cost of it, I think this will be good for you.

You also should put the money you would have spent eating out into a separate list, and see how much you are saving. I bet you will have that plumbing money saved up quicker than you would have ever imagined.

I will be really pleased to make it to my Dad's age... 95 and keeps on ticking. Hopefully, not so hard headed, but the mizzus has already been warned!

Maybe Honda's are supposed to be timeless. (I kill myself)

My folks set the bar pretty low, I've already out-lived my mom and I can't see any reason (except maybe some psycho BF) that I won't surpass my dad also.

It was a really strange moment when I hit 35...when I became the same age as my mom when she died, very hard to explain.
