Same thing happens when I think of eating at Nick's. Chalk it up to bad luck/timing. I was in the mood to go to the show, but as I sat in Smith's sweating I started to reconsider my decision to stay. If Tramples By Turtles were the only band on the bill it would have been easy to tough it out, but there were three bands listed on the bill and I didn't have the gumption to wait around for the probable ninety minutes until they took the stage. I've come to the conclusion that I installed an a/c unit which cannot defeat these temperatures for my house size. Bummer as I am not about to pay to get another. I’m glad that Dribbles will recover. Never fear, I had a beer before we left and two more at McCray's on the way home. We did have a $30 coupon, so $130, still not bad. Next month we get to try out Bluepointe. I think it was Crack Pusher that said it best, that "elderly" man is in better shape than most of the guys trying to rescue him. Initial EMT response was good, but the rescue crew couldn't find their ass with two hands once they started to try and get him out. It took at least 1 hour 42 minutes to get him to the top of the cliff... and this is with lacerations, head trauma, and incoherent. He was knocked out at least 5 minutes at the beginning and just moaning in pain the rest of the time... it was very, very bad. All I can say guys is that you don’t want to get hurt in Roswell.
