Actually I think every time I think of eating at Mi Barrio they are closed. Same thing happens when I think of eating at Nick's. Chalk it up to bad luck/timing.

I was in the mood to go to the show, but as I sat in Smith's sweating I started to reconsider my decision to stay. If Tramples By Turtles were the only band on the bill it would have been easy to tough it out, but there were three bands listed on the bill and I didn't have the gumption to wait around for the probable ninety minutes until they took the stage.

seriously, blow off mi barrio for a GREEK taco?

and dammit, if you're going to drive across town to see a show, next time stop and consider the silliness of leaving. The minute they started playing I doubt you'd have wanted to leave.

I'm glad that Dribbles will recover. It's too bad that the EMTs had such difficulty, but since I wasn't there (now glad because this would have overshadowed the fact that it would be my 100th Atlanta Hash) I shall not comment.

Oddly, the temperature in my office is nice, almost chilly. Now if I were at home that would be a completely different story. I've come to the conclusion that I installed an a/c unit which cannot defeat these temperatures for my house size. Bummer as I am not about to pay to get another.

Anyone else's office hot today? I guess our building mgmt decided to be brilliant & cut the AC off for the weekend - it will not cool off. Sucks - because I like not freezing to death most days, but this is ridiculous.

I hear ya Gentri, what a horrible turn of events. Paramedics arrived within 5 minutes, there is NO excuse to take an hour and a half to extract a victim. What a joke.

Well you know those Asians, can't hold their booze (his response to that is to tell me to try to get a tan). Never fear, I had a beer before we left and two more at McCray's on the way home.

We did have a $30 coupon, so $130, still not bad. Next month we get to try out Bluepointe.

I got a call from Frank (AKA Who Flung Doo), I guess he is the one that found Dribbles, he was pretty shaken up by the whole thing.
I think it was Crack Pusher that said it best, that "elderly" man is in better shape than most of the guys trying to rescue him. I don't want to be that reporter once Eddie is back on his feet. ;-)

All I can say guys is that you don't want to get hurt in Roswell. Initial EMT response was good, but the rescue crew couldn't find their ass with two hands once they started to try and get him out. It took at least 1 hour 42 minutes to get him to the top of the cliff... and this is with lacerations, head trauma, and incoherent. He was knocked out at least 5 minutes at the beginning and just moaning in pain the rest of the time... it was very, very bad.

I was wondering why there was no Blacksheep update, or a mention of Dribbles accident. Now I know, you are half asleep.

Wheelhopper was brutal too - Yoron & Weenie had an okay plan for the hash, but the execution was terrible. We started out with a long, dark tunnel - good place for a chicken/eagle split???? It was hell with bikes, not much too much taller than the bikes. After getting thru that, the marks were sporadic at best, so lots of circling around. Then I somehow missed the second creek, another good sport for a chicken/eagle split? (from what I've been told, a very excellent thing to miss). I just hate doing a bike hash that would be so much easier without the bike. The only good thing about the hash was the ending - there was a pool.

Less than $100? Is that with tip? The Martha I used to know used to rack that up in drinks alone! (I keeed! I keeed!) It sounds like it was a nice dinner.

The heat was brutal yesterday. I'm thankful for the invention of the Camelbak (or at least whatever brand I own).

[workus interruptus]

btw - Did you all hear about the "Elderly" (as described by Channel 11) man who fell approximately twenty feet off an embankment in Roswell and had to be rescued on Saturday? Did you all know that man was Dribbles who fell during the Atlanta Hash? Read the <a href="http://atlantahash.com/board/" target_blank" rel="nofollow">YapYap Room</a> for more details.
