Same company? Uh oh, me thinks they better start planning a new career.

Barb, it's all about the Bob & Doug McKenzie here. ;) All kidding aside on Saturday I actually watched part of a "Bob & Doug McKenzie" animated series.

Okay, I'm going away for a little while today. Time to shower and then go to Winnipeg's The Original Pancake House so I can cash in the coupon for three free pancakes that we all won at the baseball game on Sunday.

Parking deck - Allan got home this morning completely exhausted - said the real work didn't/couldn't begin until all the chiefs and other higher ups finally went home & they could just work. Before that they did some work, but more of hurry up & waiting while people assessed the situation. LONG DAY out in the heat. So far, no people alive or dead found, but he said they really aren't sure about the very bottom layers yet. He thinks this was a engineering problem, which means BIG LAWSUIT later on.

And - if you read it, the report was correct, some Cheetah girls were out there giving htem water.

Yeah, celebrities are crashing left and right. Better check your dead pool!!!

Collapsed parking garage was by same company that built the bridge that collapse at the ATL Botanical Gardens...

$1 Canadian coin is nicknamed "Loonie" for the bird on one side... "toonie" is new to me.

Sal - my beans aren't producing that much, I'm disappointed. The squash is the only thing producing like crazy, but some tomatoes are starting to finally starting to turn red. Hooray!!!!!

Paulie - I can't believe that the Canadians didn't let you know about Billy Mays.

More WTF to talk about today...

Yesterday I found out that Billy Mays died!?!?

There was a partial parking garage (or as they'd say here "parkcade") collapse at Georgia Tech?

Things better right themselves soon! Don't make me turn this vacation around!

I'm not giving myself credit for walking because I don't think I'm walking all that much. In fact the baseball field and the three places I've eaten dinner are about the only things other than stores that are within walking distance -- that is considered a "safe" area. Apparently the area north of the main street named "Portage" is rough, and having driven through it a few times already I can see why.

Later this morning I will be huffing it to The Bay (neé Hudson's Bay Company) to buy something that will keep me from getting cold during the chillier temps; tonight's low is supposed to be 49º F). The Winnipeg flagship store is still located downtown and is only a six or seven block walk along Portage from my hotel.

I return South late on Friday; way too late to attend Painful Member and hopefully not so late that I can't wake up early enough to get out and shoot photos of the Peachtree Road Race.

All the walking around you do...can't you count that as foot mileage?

After eating beans, carrots, squash of several varieties and tons of cucumbers for days on end.........I finally have some eggplant ready for picking...something different :)

How long are you going to be up there in Maple Leaf country? A cold front came through here as well....only in the low 90's now.

They play baseball here, and because they were playing a team from Fargo, ND they sang the "Star Spangled Banner." And then, when singing "Oh Canada" they young lady transitioned from English to French mid-song.

Crazy Canucks!
