Progess, No Matter How Small, Is Still Progress

How’s that for a positive start for a Friday?

Cleaning House And It Feels So Good
Last night I finally started the process of house cleaning. Unfortunately, I still have a long way to go.

In addition to cleaning and organizing I started to eradicate the extra wildlife residing in the ITP household. The score last night was:
Spiders killed – 3
Ants killed – 3
Moth killed – 1

I guess that my cleanup process is going to be a slow, constant job until I finally sell the house.

Lose It By Using “Lose It!”
Yesterday I downloaded an application for my iPhone called “Lose It!”. The application is a food/exercising logging application which helps people set a weight-loss goal and predict when that goal will be achieved.

According to Lose It! my goal to lose twenty pounds should be completed by January 8th, 2010. In order to achieve this I am allowed a Calorie budget of 2,096 calories per day, which does not take into account any exercise that I perform. Of course you’ll be able to track my progress at the end of each blog entry.

I’m going to be the first to admit that food logging is going to be a royal pain in my ass and ruin eating/drinking from now until January, but it’s going to have to happen.

ITP Flickr Pic
I like architecture. I like taking photos of architecture.
Midtown Atl
Mostly because buildings rarely move or care if you take their photo.

You Down With LLC? Yeah Talk To Me
Yesterday I also started the investigative process for starting my own LLC. My first idea was to follow the lead that I heard about recently by going through BizFilings. However, when I tweeted this notion I was flooded by replies telling that it is easy to do yourself and that I shouldn’t use a firm to do my paperwork.

So, I’m now contemplating a beer/business get-together with those who have the knowledge.

On-On To 100!
Tomorrow I will get my one hundredth hash with the Atlanta Hash House Harriers. That’s right, after nearly ten and a half years of hashing I’ll finally reach that milestone. It’s not that I’ve been avoiding AH4, but hashing with Black Sheep Hash has more than satiated my need to hash. To make this hash even more unusual, I’ll be once again traveling to Newnan to run it because the trail is being laid by ITP-Reader Steve (aka Fagpipes).

  1. Barb says:

what time do you want to meet to ride tomorrow morning?

  2. RanLiCoop says:

OK, gotta stop. EarthAlbum is way too addictive. Have a great weekend, Paulie!

Hey, any chance you want to make a last-minute trip to Raleigh tonight? Lisa and the boys fly to Columbus tomorrow morning to see the newest member of the Darding/Zuehlke family (Kipton Charles, for those keeping score at home). We could spend the whole weekend working on the yard and the house! You can get your 100th Atlanta Hash some other weekend… 😉

  3. Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

What, another child? Don’t you people know how to stop that?

  4. Lurking Lisa says:

Hey! Caught you Randy! Your job for the weekend is to slave away at work then come home, clean up, do yard work and have absolutly no fun. Paulie, you better wait to come visit until I’m home!

Don’t forget that I’m always lurking!!

  5. Too funny Lisa. Perhaps it’s a good thing that I can’t make it up there this weekend. 🙂

Funny story from last Saturday that I just remembered. Whiner came to Atlanta for a Black Sheep celebratory dinner and with him he carried two binders of hash stuff that he and MC had. When I opened one of the binders there was a Coffee Bean party announcement for your 30th birthday party.

  6. RanLiCoop says:

Hey Lurking, I wasn’t planning on having any fun. I was just hoping Paulie would come up an help with the drudgery…;-)

  7. Barb says:

this may be a dumb question- but is Kipton a boy or a girl name?
    tell Amanda congrats!

  8. Barb, I’ll assume from the middle name “Charles” that it’s a boy’s name. And my congrats out to Keith and Amanda as well.

  9. Barb says:

hey- in this day & age – I make no assumptions.

  10. whiner says:

WLB just enjoy your 100th with AHHH. I really loved seeing you last Saturday. The dinner was so much fun for me. I got to see 4 people I have not see in years.

  11. Whiner, it was great to see you as well.

  12. RanLiCoop says:

Kipton Charles is, I’m assured, a boy. Lisa can provide independent verification (if needed…) as she, Cooper and Nolan are meeting the little guy right about now.

And, due to the rain, I’m here at work, so I guess it’s for the best that Paulie’s enjoying his 100th instead of driving up to Raleigh to help me with yard work…

  13. Nice Randy. Sorry to hear that you got rain up there. I performed a faux triathlon today

    cycling 28 miles
    hashing 4 miles
swimming, well wading in a pool, 30 minutes

  14. RanLiCoop says:

Nice Tri, Paulie! With any luck, I’ll be mountain biking after work tomorrow. Ought to be fun, since I haven’t been on my mtn bike in several years…

Hey look, I’m at work once again. Got a good bit of yard work done today and am trying to use my “free” time to catch up at work – and clean up my office 😉

OK, time to go home and crash – gotta go to work tomorrow…
