Tipping Point

I’ve reached tipping points in many aspects of my life. Time is limited and becoming more so each year. I need to start making some critical decisions…

I need to keep this really short today. Colder weather meant more time under the covers, which meant that traffic was exponentially slower, which meant that I am later than I need to be and have a ton of work to accomplish.

I’ll catch up with everyone on Monday when I hope provide some photographs and a recap on Saturday night’s Mountain Goats concert at Variety Playhouse (no link because TextExpander doesn’t seem to be responding. DANGEN! In the mean time, let me know what you are up to this weekend.

We are going to a place up near Ellijay camping & mountain biking called Mulberry Gap for Wheelhopper (pray for no rain). The ladies that own it cook you dinner & breakfast for a reasonable price & you can bring your alcoholic beverages with no fear of park rangers. http://www.mulberrygap.com
I’ll let you know about it on monday, but I think even Jerry might be able to handle camping at this place.

  2. Martha says:

Unless there is cable/satellite TV, Jerry can’t handle it (at least during college football season)…found out the hard way last weekend.

Mulberry Gap does sound like fun but I’m kind of glad to be staying close to home this weekend. No big plans for us. We may swing by Rose’s exhibit for a bit, run tomorrow, maybe check out crossfit, run errands, party up north. In between that I’ll be cooking up some stuff to take with us to Cincy.

I’d love to make it out to some trails for a little running on Sunday. I signed us both up for Red Top Rumble and I’m thinking about the Fat Ass 50k…seems appropriate right now.

  3. Oooh, Mulberry Gap sounds cool. I hope it doesn’t rain on you (although this year the odds aren’t great) and looking forward to hearing about it on Monday.

I too am hoping for some sunshine this weekend as I purchased some steel wool and Great Stuff at Home Depot last night and want to plug my roof line holes.

You’ve all heard this before but I’m trying to take a different view on life and reinvent myself (again).

The week-end doesn’t look promising weatherwise.

Going to American Mountain tonight in Vinings…it’s their one year anniversary…thye will have food, prizes and everything is 20% off.

Not sure what’s in store for Saturday. REI’s sale event? A movie? Getting my hair cut in Virginia Highlands …. so maybe dinner at Doc Chey’s?

Sunday is a run at Kennessaw and out to breakfast.

    Weather permitting…some yard work.

And the normal laundry, house cleaning and grocery shopping.

  5. Martha says:

    Oh yeah, yard work…

When/where at Kennessaw? Sal what can you tell me about the FA 50K??

  6. sal says:

Running at 7:00 at the visitor center.

FA 50k is a low key fun event. 4 loops at Kennesaw. Can do 1, 2, 3 or all 4 loops. Free to GUTS members. We will close it out at 100 runners. Hang out, eat some chili, drink some beer. You should do it. One aid station at Janice’s house….you come back to it with every loop.
