Reason number 1 why I don’t go see live music…there is just no way I can handle the crowds and the noise. Plus 9 pm is just about bed time any more. Sorry you didn’t have a good time.

My taxes are pretty much done, I just need to finish up some lose ends and get my state sent off. I’ll wait until April 14th for the Feds since I owe them a bit of cash. This year, like last I’m getting money back from the state and need to send some to the Fed, just about breaking even.

Andrew, I’ll have to check out SafariStand. Thanks. I thought about going to Chrome but it’s still in beta (I know, Google’s beta is different) but in this case it meant that either Evernote or 1Password hasn’t developed plugins for it.

Whew, I finally made in to the office. After meeting with my tax preparer I am still fearful of Uncle Sam this year. Oh well, better than not having any money I suppose.

My experience at Eddie’s last night has caused much more of a stir than I could have imagined. I must admit that felt good to get it all off my chest.

The first show was terrific, but it was also oversold. We arrived at 6:30, a full 30 minutes before the show was supposed to start, and there was absolutely nowhere to sit. Everything at the bar and bleachers was packed. We had to beg a waitress to help us finagle some improvised seating on some borrowed barstools in the far back corner.

This is exactly why I am fine with just staying home and listening to a performer’s CDs sometimes, rather than putting in the effort to see the live performance.

I thought about emailing this link to Eddie’s with a personal note that while I had been wanting to go to a show there ever since I’ve lived here, I was now having second thoughts. I would be SO pissed!

I don’t find that Firefox uses any more or less memory than Safari. I use SafariStand to handle the problem of not opening links in tabs. You may also wish to check out Google Chrome. It can also consume a bit of RAM, but each tab is a process and when that tab is closed all of the memory associated with it is freed.

the few shows I’ve ever seen at Eddie’s Attic have been overcrowded as well. Sorry you didn’t get a decent seat.

I did my taxes finally last night – Turbo Tax works quite well for me, but ours aren’t all that difficult. I don’t know why I always put it off, I figured we’d get a return.

I think FairTax would be awesome, but can you imagine those people in Washington ever agreeing to implement it??????? I sure can’t.
