I do have to say, the Bontrager shorts Allan ordered me the last time are very nice, I think they were worth the extra money (even though I have no idea how much that was......) Drive way up to Black Rock Mountain to road ride? Interesting idea - but I think I'd rather do a mtn bike ride up there Rabun if I drove that far. yeah – Michelle is coming to my house! I used to ride in Performance Bike shorts, but they fell apart (well, one was torn to hell in my first wreck) so I moved "up" to Pearl Izumi. I probably should have stopped in the Pearl Izumi store (don't think it's a true "outlet") when I rode with Bob just to see if they had any of "last year's" design cheaper than the current year's design. I bought a $50 pair. I looked around for discounts, but much like Apple products Pearl Izumi seem to be the same price everywhere you look. The chamois inside the $75 did look nicer, and the shorts were made of more panels, but neither of these convinced me that they were worth $25 more. But, I ask the same question about jeans.
