I was wondering if you had the day off???!!!

Hope you have a great weekend!

  2. Nah, though by the time I make it in to work today I’ll only be working about a half day.

  3. Martha says:

Well I’ve got stuff for today.

First today is my last day at CDC (at least for a little while), company is giving me four weeks pay and benefits…I’m expecting a conditional offer from another company soon, so I’m not too worried, looking forward to some time off.

Second, I’ll entertain you with my latest exercise induced issue. Apparantly, I gave myself a mild case of rhabdomyolysis, I didn’t notice anything but my CPK levels were more than twice what they should be during some routine tests. I just need to hydrate better and if I have any physical symptom go to the ER and let them know I have a history of it.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

  4. Barb says:

okay- had to google “rhabdomyolysis”. that doesn’t sound good.

  5. Stacy Fox says:

egads! i googled it too….are you ok, martha?

  6. Martha says:

I’m fine, like I said it was very mild, I didn’t have any symptoms and wouldn’t have known anything was up except that I had blood drawn shortly after hitting the gym. Most important thing is to stay hydrated (since I work out first thing in the morning, I’m already dehydrated) and just know that I am susceptible to it happening again.

My numbers were in the 400s, guys end up in the hospital when they get closer to a couple of 1000s.

  7. Steve says:

How do you get this? Working out and not being hydrated? Sounds like loads of laughs…

I also hoped Paulie had the day off.. I’m working waay too hard for Good Friday.

  8. I’m (finally) at work. I had ideas of hitting Taco Mac tonight but there is now talk of happy hour. Decisions, decisions.

Take care of yourself, Martha. That doesn’t sound good at all.

  9. Barb says:

can’t you convince them to have happy hour at Taco Mac? I’d like to go to happy hour, but if the weather holds we are going to go ride over to Kennesaw Mtn tonight. I’m not really in the mood, but I need to ride.

  10. We go to Taco Mac a lot so I’m guessing that people want something different tonight. Unlike me many of my coworkers are not drawn to Taco Mac.
