Quick Like An Easter Bunny

Very short on time again. So short that I did not make it to the lavanderia last night and cut what I had hoped to be a 5+ mile walk this morning down to 2.75 so that I could be in the office early. I only wish stress burned more calories…

It’s All About Gratitude
Thank you all for volunteering to help me. ITP-Readers Betsy and Martha, I will contact you about details tomorrow. ITP-Reader Debbie, I appreciate having you as a backup. ITP-Readers Steve and Barb, I’ll see you on Saturday and hope that I will be able to consume alcohol. If not, I will smile ear-to-ear full-calorie Coca-Cola in hand.

Paying It Forward Paid Back
This morning the person (who was identified as a lady by the toll both monitor) ahead of my paid for my toll. It was only $0.50 (the same amount that I gave to a guy for his toll last week) but it made me feel like a million bucks.

Coding, coding, coding….

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

You have been the target of a random act of kindness… very nice.

I had no “dog in the fight” last night, and only sort of watched the first half, but congrats to all those UK fans (not to be confused with the KU fans).

20 miles last night- part of the ride (after a wrong turn) included GA 54. I kept waiting on traffic, and waiting, and waiting… I know I was rolling right along, but!! Seems they were shooting the TV series up the road and had the traffic stopped- SWEET!

We had Marty & Sal come over for dinner last night (it is Marty’s birthday today). It was fun to catch up with them.

Tonight I hope to at least go to yoga, but I’d like to get a bike ride in too, but there’s a good chance I have to go to a work dinner. I used to like going out for a free meal, but not anymore…….

what TV show? Drop Dead Diva? I hear tehy film down that way.

I thought it was a series.. some vampire thing. Debbie knows. They are shooting at the old farmhouse at the corner of Gordon and 54- they use the front porch which faces 54, so they stop traffic while they shoot. Had all kinds of boom trucks and whatnot- Debbie wanted to go up and “appropriate” one of their Gators for use around the farm- I told herr we had to wait until after the full moon. Not dark enough…

I’m glad you got your transportation all squared away Paulie, I knew people would step up to help. I’ll be a third alternate if you need anything, you have my number if you need it.

I’m getting back into the swing of things and back on the bike, 22 miles on Saturday and rode to work yesterday. I have already lost 2 pounds (Laura is jealous). As you can all tell by my spam yesterday I have committed to 100 miles on May 20th for the Tour de Cure.

Now the next 3 days should be interesting. We are dog sitting Laura’s sisters dog that has 3 paws in the grave while they are on vacation. Poor dog has a tumor that they will not operate on because of the dogs age. If his health goes down hill before Friday we may need to make a tough decision for the family. I really hope the dog holds on until the family gets home so they can say good bye.

Walking Dead shoots here a lot, but they just wrapped up a season so I wouldn’t think they would be shooting again just yet, but maybe so. They’ve boarded up the windows of the house so it certainly looks the part for zombies. I’ll ask when I go down there to relieve them of a gator.

Good luck with the pup Bob. Hard enough to make that decision for your own dog, I can’t imagine having to do it for some else.

  6. Barb says:

22 miles & a ride to work has you losing 2 lbs? Hell yeah Laura should be mad, and so am I!
I’ve ridden lots moer than that & probably haven’t lsot any weight.

At least you will be in shape for BRAG with doing a century on 5/22.

a few of us are going to do the BRAG spring tune-up out in Madison, GA 4/20-22, well really just 4/21 & 22. In case anyone else is interested……..

Yep, just give me a ball park time, I don’t anticipate making any work plans for Thursday afternoon…but just to be sure.

I think my plans for an ultra run this year have been dashed, so I was thinking I might try a century, but it would have to be a little later in the year than May. I’m only up to the low 30s as far as milage goes…I’ve got a lot of work ahead of me.

I did get a hitch installed yesterday, I’m planning a trip to REI in a bit to (hopefully) pick up a bike rack. Thanks to everyone that suggested the hitch house, they were great.
