There May Be An Afternoon Edition Today

I’m hoping to have the luck of the Irish today.

I have yet another super-important phone interview at 10:00 so I can’t spend time writing a blog post. Perhaps I will knock one out after lunch. If not, have a great weekend all.

If not sobbing over another failed attempt to procure work I will be attending both nights of the Banff Film Festival being held at the Ferst Center on the campus of Georgia Tech. Oh shit, there is a soccer match over there sometime this weekend too, isn’t there? Now that’s some poor planning.

So why isn’t the Banff film festival in… Banff? Strange.

I went for a run last night, but unfortunately didn’t realize I was under the watchful eye of Zelda. She had no problem keeping up with me and had plenty of time to enjoy the drainage along the side of the road. Perhaps she will associate running in the ditch with the very cold water we hosed her off with afterwards.

It was taco Thursday, as there were tacos for lunch AND dinner! What a country!

Tonight, a birthday celebration for a horsey friend, who requested bowling afterwards. I can be out too late as the racing starts early tomorrow. Rain or shine.

    Good luck with the interview.

  2. It was in Banff in November if I remember correctly, this is the touring edition.

Thanks. I am hoping the this being one of my “opposite” days, I will be going to Pancho’s tonight for St Patty’s Day celebrating, that I will nail this interview.

    More later…

I’m still feeling iffy- so I did absolutely nothing last night except start watching season 2 of American Crime on Netflix.
And- Sally came over to watch Survivor, so I got a break in the binge watching.
I have also learned from her “fun” breaking up with Marty, maybe it is better to get married, as after 20 years together (but not married) he feels she deserves nothing, He is screwing her over possessions wise. No common law in GA, so she deserves nothing. He’s being such a dick.

    • Stacy says:

Oh my gosh, that is horrible, Barb. 🙁 I’m so sorry to hear that. What a dick.

    • Hope you feel better soon Barb.

      • Barb says:

this whatever I’ve got is a pain, I don’t feel so bad I need to be in bed, but I don’t feel good enough to do much. It sucks. I may go home early today- just because.
And – I found out Allan is working an overtime shift at the station, so I’m single again tonight- more binge watching American Crime!

  4. Steve says:

    You’re learning the wrong language.

There are more than two jobs for every applicant in Tokyo. Japan’s job-to-applicant ratio is at a 25-year high thanks to a low birth rate and slowly recovering economy.

and- I hope everyone is wearing green……….

  6. Interview over. Verdict: I am a shitty interviewee. Fingers crossed that I am being critical of my performance.

    Here is the “Afternoon Edition”

Yesterday’s lunch AND dinner wound up being a huge plate of bbq eat at Daddy Dz. After driving all over town (read within a two-mile radius of the ITP Estate) I decided on Daddy Dz. Damn it was good, and stuck with me all night long.

After eating I went to IKEA where I walked off a tiny portion of lunch, oogling at a lot of things I wanted, some of which is sold by IKEA. I wound up buying a new office table that I will be assembling tomorrow, once I figure out how I want to rearrange some furniture; including which furniture will be sacrificed to allow this new piece of furniture to live inside the ITP Estate.

The rest of my evening was studying for today’s interview. Even if I don’t get this job the knowledge I picked up is good for me to know.

  7. I am cocking up my day by going to eat lunch without having worked out (yet). I am going to lunch at Twain’s and then drive up to Chamblee to work in the library. Hopefully I can get the workout in prior to happy hour.

  8. Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

If you want to forget that it’s Tax Day feel free to join me at Horizon Theatre that night. I just purchased a ticket.

  9. Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

Lunch at Twain’s was quite the success – pastrami sandwich, beer, coffee, and dessert. If the woman near me had even pretended to know that I existed it would have been the perfect lunch.

Now sitting inside library in Brookhaven. If I can get my lunch to settle by 3pm I’ll outing a workout prior to happy hour at Pancho’s.

  10. Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

Just agreed to a long interview next Thursday with the company I spoke with this morning. Guess I will be cramming for exams between now and then…
