Blame The Internet, Not Me

Internet speeds have been so bad that I am ready to throw my iOS devices against a wall in anger.

No blog post today.

I will be spending the remainder of the day time traveling back to Atlanta.

Cheers,
Paulie [frankfurt/de]

It’s amazing how much I take internet speed for granted. Maybe you’ll have better luck at the airport. Unless you’ve already left the airport. By my calculations it should be almost 1330 there. Safe travels!

We have decided to give Verizon the heave ho at home and will bring a satellite provider. After fighting with VZ and realizing they no longer sell or support the system we have… buh bye!

The world is still spinning a bit, but has slowed down significantly. I lazed around most of the day and caught up on stupid TV. Debbie made delicious chicken tacos for dinner, per my request!!

Dentist this afternoon and Games meeting tonight. Oh. Boy.

    Safe travels.

I’m sorry you’re still not feeling so well, Steve. I have no idea what vertigo feels like but I have other friends who suffer it time to time and it sounds like no picnic at all. 🙁 Hope you’re better soon.

I don’t know if you’re susceptible to motion sickness, but the closest thing I can relate it to is getting off a ride at Six Flags with your head spinning and your knees wobbly. And sitting still helps a little until you open your eyes and things are still spinning. Ugh.

Satellite for internet & tv? Who does that? Hope it works better.

Out here in the sticks, there are a couple of companies that provide satellite internet service. The problem is it doesn’t support VPN (virtual private network) which is what I need to work remotely. The reason is the delay between the user and the earth station- those fractions of a second add up.

bummer about the internet speeds – I can imagine how frustrating it is. My iPad2 is so old now, it runs so slow, but I just don’t want to spend the money for a new one. I use my phone more & more now.

Went to spin last night, I still feel like I suck at it, but I’m getting more the hang of it.
We are trying to go a couple times a week so Allan doesn’t have to sit in as much traffic. The pedals hurt my feet with just regular gym shoes, so we have put SPD cleats on one of my road shoes so I can clip in. I need to order a pair of spin shoes, I don’t want to spend a bunch of money, but I need to be sure they fit.
