Thought there was a reunion of local bloggers last night at Manuel’s Tavern. I thought this had either be rescheduled from last month, or made into a monthly occurrence, as the date was updated in an email I received last month.

I was wrong.

Did you stay anyway? I was just there myself on Saturday afternoon. Remember that streak we had going for a while where we’d be at the same place within days of each other? 😀 At least now we’re showing up in the same places sometimes…and with Barb’s on Sunday, it’ll be three in one week! Whaaaaaaaaa?

Back to yesterday’s bill-paying convo….looks like Georgia Power customers got the promised Vogtle credit this month. Brought my monthly bill to a whopping $6.68. Wonder if they’ll let me pay that whopper off in installments?

Today there’s a free tour in Woodruff Park *of* Woodruff Park at noon so going to spend my lunch hour doing that. Love free history tours of Atlanta. 🙂

    • I stayed for one beer at the bar before giving up. I had plans to eat dinner at Betsy’s, so it was not a big deal.

      Lol.

I will have I watch for my Georgia Power bill. 🙂

Have fun on the tour. I’m working from home today otherwise I’d consider joining you.

  2. According to the email I received this morning, the City of Atlanta has proceeded my water/sewer payment.

I am going to attempt another Instant Pot recipe tonight, specifically this one: Vegetable Manchurian

Tonigt is a “stay at home and clean house” night.

They “proceeded” your bill? Shame the hackers couldn’t fix the grammar.

I thought is was going to be a calm evening, then the horses escaped! Debbie let them out from the pasture with her intent of them heading to the barn for dinner, however they had other plans and went on a neighborhood tour. We pursued in the truck, and finally got them under control at Nicole’s, which is a mile away. The work to enclose the backyard and connect the pasture to the barn (well, all but the last 20 feet) will be completed this weekend.

In exciting news… did you see you’re getting a new brewery in your neighborhood? By this autumn even! https://whatnowatlanta.com/sabbath-brewing-eav-barbell-club/

    #morebeermorebeermorebeermorebeer….

    • Nice! I was wondering what was going to replace the gym. Their only mistake is that they should name it “EAV Barbell Club”. 😁

    • Barb says:

We are getting a brewery right off the Marietta Square Рand another cat coffee caf̩. (not that I would ever go to a cat coffee caf̩, but I guess it is the new thing).

  5. Barb says:

Will Cobb EMC get a credit??? – I bet not.

    • Steve says:

You might- there is only one provider in the area (GP) so all the utilities have to buy from them…

    • Stacy says:

I don’t think so, Barb. I think it’s just for folks with Georgia Power (or maybe other power companies in Georgia under the Southern Company umbrella too – not sure). Friends of mine have Marietta Power and they’re not expecting to see it. But hey, who knows! Maybe it’ll be a nice surprise! I dare say a $7 power bill was for me this month. 🙂

Nothing too exciting – damn pollen count was over 4000 yesterday, but now today is back in the 1000s. I hope to feel better today, I was so tired yesterday.

Trying to decide what we should do tomorrow night for our anniversary, I think we will just go to the Marietta Square & find dinner somewhere there. We are such an old married couple, we would be fine just staying home, but what the hell…….. we can go out for dinner.
