It is amazing what taking a weekday PTO does to a person. Just something about having a random Tuesday off makes the spirit very happy.

Of course, I spent way too much money: it was car maintenance day. I have a long road trip (51 days, but who’s counting?) so it was needed. My car runs soooo smoothly now! And the air conditioner is back to being crazy cold again! I have an appointment to get it detailed this weekend and then I’ll be all set to go. I figured if I’m going to be spending that much time in a car, I want it clean and fresh for when I accidentally spill a Big Q coke in it on my drive. 😉

Instead of sitting in the waiting room all morning, I was able to get some foot traffic in. The repair shop was up in Sandy Springs/Roswell so Davey Crochet met me and we did 6-1/2 miles walking around the rivers there. Then we stopped for coffee and ran into Hired Hand! Sat and chatted with him a bit. It’s so bizarre how many people are out and about on late Tuesday mornings, but I guess they could say the same for us.

Detailing it now when you don’t leave for 51 days? I’d have it dirty as hell by the time I left……….

Looked like a fun hike/walk yesterday – I was very jealous.

      • Stacy says:

Ha! You gotta remember I’m only in my car for about 20 miles/week. It’s hard to get it too dirty in that amount of time.

When they did the oil change, they kinda laughed at the old sticker. It said: 12/15 or 68,500 miles. I brought it in 5/18 with 69,000.

It was a lovely walk! So much so that even when they called me that the car was done, we hit the final 3rd place on Davey’s map. I need to explore new-to-me places more often.

I cut the grass last night- its truly amazing what getting a new mower blade can do!
I told Allan I felt like it wasn’t cutting well before – I was right! Now I think it needs a tune up…….. it doesn’t sound right. But – except spending money part, I’d like to get a new mower – ours is so heavy!

Tonight I will meet a couple friends to watch the Atlanta United game, I’m wearing my new jersey that Allan got me at the last game he worked. He will be there again tonight, if anyone is going.

  3. Oh yeah. File Under: “Weird” – a guy complimented my chest yesterday while I was sitting in Colony Square. Never to old to experience a first, I guess…

    • Stacy says:

Okay I need to hear exactly what he said!

      • Stacy says:

        (I never get chest compliments) 😉 😉

      • Upon first pass : “Whoa, sir. Chest day?” as I was stretching in the chair.

Upon reverse direction pass minutes later : “”Looking good. Keep up the good work.” (accompanied with a fist bump)

I smiled, laughed, and said “Will do. Thanks.”

In his defense I do have some nice man boobs. 😂😂😂

Not sure I will add this to my repertoire of pick up lines.

Today is national bike to school day so Travis and I rode to school. Since I was so close I decided to get in some enduro downhill runs at big creek before work 🙂
Big Creek quick six enduro is Saturday, my first time racing it. Can’t wait!

I will be at the ATL UTD game tonight, may even go early to see the crazy pre-game festivities.

    What is the D.U.F.F. H3?

    • From my understanding it is hashing without the pesky exercise.

      • Stacy says:

A Wednesday night group that meets at Elder Tree. Purely social; no actual hashing. Kind of what George’s used to be back in the day. Do people still go to George’s? I haven’t heard about that in a long time.

    • Barb says:

Bob – text Allan where you seats are – he will be roaming & will come visit.

  5. Steve says:

Traffic was seriously F’d yesterday trying to get to Norcross for the pre meeting meeting. So glad I don’t have to put up with that on a daily basis.

An early trip to the vet for Lola and Brownie this morning. Pinch hitter vet (Nicole takes Wednesday off) couldn’t figure out what was wrong with either, so we have broad spectrum antibiotics and something else for the next 10 days.

Will shortly find somewhere nearby with enough 4Gto work “from home” shortly.

Ahhh, memories of Prom from Hell

Anyone interested in trying for $10 Hamilton tickets? I know I’m in:

    https://atlantaintownpaper.com/2018/05/details-announced-for-hamilton-ticket-lottery-at-fox-theatre/

    • Seeing “Hamilton” is not on my bucket list, but if I could luck into $10 tickets I’d go.

    • Barb says:

Allan is hoping they need a fire marshall at that show – so he can see it for free.
I’m with Paulie – I’d go for $10, but not into spending a bunch of money on tickets.

    • ITP Lurker says:

Yeah, I don’t want to see it bad enough to pay the retail price either. But $10 works.

  7. Barb says:

Scored big at Goodwill – should have looked at other stuff too.
Found 2 dresses for Prom – both are probably too nice, 1 for sure is too nice.
But- at $6.99 each, I couldn’t pass them up.
1 is floor length, and I think I could wear it for a real event, so Allan may have to wear his real white dinner jacket tux.
The other is knee length, it seems to me a little more mother of the bride looking. (it has a little jacket that goes with it.)

  8. Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

Strike 1 at Goodwill near Decatur.

    • Barb says:

Paulie – here’s my suggestion – if you can’t find a sport coat/suit – get a fun shirt & a fun tie. Jackets can be tough to find.
What size jacket do you like? I can look around for you on my lunch breaks –
since I have lunch everyday from 12-1, I got time. If I ever see something good, I’ll send a pic.
and- you have time, if you have time to shop, the clothes change out quickly it seems. Last week I found NOTHING at 3 stores, but went back to the 1st Goodwill from last week today & I scored.

      • Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

Not sure what size boobs I have now. It has been a long time since I bought a jacket. I’ll keep plugging away….

        • Barb says:

just keep trying them on – figure out what size……
and – are you thinking a brighter color, plaid, corduroy ????

          • Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

Thinking loud and proud. It’ll be too hot for me to wear corduroy.

  9. Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

Strike 2 at Last Chance Thrift Store near Decatur.

  10. Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

Second Value Village produced a black tux-like jacket that fits.

  11. ITP Lurker says:

Just saw this on Twitter and it made my day: “Breaking News: Trump to back out of Louisiana Purchase.”

    • Barb says:

if he could, he just might try……….. I think that was a political cartoon?

      • ITP Lurker says:

It was just a random tweet by someone that’s going viral. Hell, I’ll gladly move west of the Mississippi if he does. 😉
