Even though the wrong team won in the Germany-Mexico match yesterday, I still had a wonderful Sunday. Oh, I also did yard work this weekend? Who am I? What’s funny is how much my arms and shoulders hurt from using a weed whacker for thirty minutes.

Greetings from Lake Keowee. (Near Seneca, SC)
We’ve been hanging out, floating in the lake, cruising around in the boat, just goofing off.
I think we are going to go check out some bike trails not too far away today. Our hosts don’t ride, so they aren’t sure what is over there. We will take hiking shoes & clothes, just in case.

I’ve arranged a small group bike ride from Grant Park to New Realm Brewery on the Beltline tonight. Who am I? 😉

I should be in the office, but not getting home until after midnight, I pulled the plug. It was a good weekend+ of racing, but it was really hot and yesterday I stood… for 14 hours. And did I mention it was hot?

Saturday’s excitement was having a weather red alert on Ft. Gordon. All racing stops and you take cover. It worked out that we were near start finish and we had a fairly simple “race picture” (we knew the splits and who was in the groups). We were stopped for almost an hour, but the overall outcome was affected, as the field got inspired to chase the break, once they saw just how far off the front 1:45 was. After all is said and done, the right guy won, but it would have been fun to see the break stay away.
