I want to say that today is the fourteenth “anniversary” of the day that I was carjacked; the event that eventually inspired this blog. In my mind the fact that I have forgotten the exact day feels as if some healing has occurred.

I am hoping the rain stays away today because yesterday’s deluge robbed me of the chance to mow my lawn this morning.

  1. Barb, how was Tasty China last night? Inquiring minds want to know!

Well – we got the usual – Dan Dan noodles, bamboo fish, dry fried green beans, double cooked pork & shredded crispy beef. All tasted great.
I feel like the portions have gotten a little smaller -but tasty wise – it was TASTY!
    we got NO RAIN

    • Sounds delicious.

Surprised you got no rain because we had it come down in buckets in midtown and East Atlanta (at least from what I could tell from the condition of my yard, and the fact that there was a power outage at some point).

Yeah, fast moving storm with lots of lightning rolled through Grant Park yesterday around 4:30. Short-lived but intense.

Cheers to healing, and being able to acknowledge it. Letting go of bad experiences has been tough for me but I’m making progress.

There was a bad storm just South of the house yesterday about the same time y’all we getting pounded in town. As I drove, I watched more lightning than I have seen in a long while. I fully expected to have to drag dogs outside in the rain, but there was none. A few drops before I got home, but it was moving away quickly.

A run last night in the cool but humid evening was overdue.
