With no German class, last night was the perfect opportunity to rest and then get a lot of shit done. Instead, some time shortly after eating dinner I passed out on the couch and accomplished nothing. Whoops!

As I type this at 3:30am I am watching a documentary about a British foursome trying to do the (bike) Race Across America called, wait for it โ€Race Across Americaโ€.

  1. For anyone concerned about my health, I did manage to get another 60-90 minutes of sleep before coming into work.

The answer is in the order you chose: “rest and then get a lot of shit done”. That never works out for me either. I have to “get a lot of shit done and rest”, assuming that I can muster the energy to do the former.

And I know all about bolting on another 60 to 90 minutes of sleep.I did that myself today. At least if I am able to get myself back to sleep at after 5:00 AM it tends to be some really solid sleep.

Allan gets up at 0530, leaves about 0600 – if I go back to sleep, I tend to sleep fairly deep until that 7am alarm. with dreams & everything.

I love how everyone’s so different. ๐Ÿ™‚ I could not go back to sleep after 5am: I’d feel like I was “oversleeping” if I did. Barb’s 7am alarm already has me showered, dressed, caffeinated, commuted to work and booting up my computer.

Not that it’s always easy, mind you. And not that that EVER happens on weekends.

    Happy birthday Debbie Brady!

  4. Steve says:

A slow start after getting Debbie out the door to go for her birthday hunt. Currently watching the Worlds TT for the pro field. Joey Roskopf did pretty well. TJ van Garteren just posted a best mid race time.

I think we’re going phone shopping for Debbies birthday. Mine can barely hold a charge and hers is acting up. Any (non-Apple) recommendation? We have been Samsung Galaxyusers for quite a while.

  5. I have been internally singing the Soul Coughing song โ€œSuper Bon Bonโ€ in my head for weeks. Today we are getting Cinnabon cinnamon buns as a celebratory snack at work. I guess the song will be in my head for another couple of weeks.
