Meh, going to try and make myself happier today.

Tonight I will attempt either this beefless stew or this sweet potato tortilla soup, both Instant Pot meals, for dinner.

  1. Autocorrect tried to change “beefless” to “needless” and then to “beetles” before I was able to publish… 🤦🏻‍♂️

Ummm… it’s been a while since I’ve had any good beetles stew.

20 minutes to vote yesterday. Quite a crowd in L’ville.

Wrestled my scooter for an hour to get access to the battery so I could charge it. Cleverly, those Germans have it hidden under the gas tank.

A belt on my car has been slowly coming apart and I was on the way to drop it off at the garage this morning when it broke. Perfect timing!!

it took about 30 minutes to vote for me, I’ve never had a line at my polling place.

Kinds of bummed about most of the outcomes – but at the same time – more people voted I’d guess than ever before.
and I’ve decided people really don’t read those amendments – they just vote yes.

BUT -ON THE BRIGHTEST NOTE – I THINK THE BRUNCH BILL PASSED!!!

  4. Steve says:

Sadly, the amendments were boiled down- you should have read the whole bill! Several pages long each.

The bright spot I’m taking away from yesterday is Congress will be log-jammed for at least 2 years, which I think is as good as we can get in this current political climate.

Brunch bill definitely passed in Atlanta. I crossed paths with my state legislator at Petit Chou this morning, and told him at least now we can start drowning our sorrows a little earlier on Sundays. 😉

Barb, today was a massage day for me. Glorious, as usual.

  6. Bonnie says:

I thought tonight was Betsy’s “true Texas chili” (with beef)?

  7. Barb says:

We trying to decide when to go see Bohemian Rhapsody – we need to get around it.
