I just couldn’t convince myself that a Monday night hash was worth dealing with a eighteen-mile drive (one way) in traffic; I was also not convinced that I had packed warm-enough clothes in which to hash. Instead, I went home, mounted the trainer for an hour, and then whipped up a quick dinner.

Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 209.2 pounds (-0.6 from last week’s weigh-in); not the great result for which I was hoping.

Well at least you went in the right direction. 138 (+0.5 / goal 125). This just keeps getting worse and worse… 😢

We are still on water restriction around here. The bank is open, but if you can work from home, you could. Since I really can’t… And no water meant no coffee! Ugh.

I got a good 45 minute workout, Sufferfest style! This one isn’t race footage based, just a guy riding his bike through the Dolomites. He comments about the terrain and the history, but mostly it’s just beautiful scenery. I’d love to do it- on a motorcycle!

    • Crap, I just realized that I can’t drink the coffee I just made. 😢

Also, my riding was to the Great British Bake Off, naturally.

If I had some bottled water (which they are passing out) and some coffee, I could make some. It would seem they should be a bit more prepared, but I figure the bottled water came out of the store room, so I have to give them a little credit.

I drank my coffee anyway today, without preboiling. If I’m not here tomorrow, well, it’ll have been nice knowin’ ya’ll. 😉

    And don’t forget to VOTE!

Well look here – living OTP has it advantages – no having to boil water 1st here in Cobb County!!! Not that I drink coffee, but I do try to drink water as much as possible.

Massage & dinner was excellent – thick cut bone in pork chops are so good!!!

Not sure what’s on the agenda tonight, but going to Spin class with Vanessa on Wed. evening.

and Bonnie – does Pete get mad if you put his name on FB? I saw you changed it to “the husband”.

    • Bonnie says:

Barb: Actually, it annoys him when I say “the husband” and he prefers “Pete”, which is why I changed it from Pete to “the husband” 😂😂😂 I’m so mean. One of my friends used to call her girlfriend “the girl” on Facebook before they came out as a couple and I liked it and stole the idea.

I have a gallon of water leftover from camping so I am happily drinking coffee. You could also boil water for a minute….

  7. Surprisingly delicious chili-cheese burrito made from leftover chili that I concocted last Saturday.

Today’s exercise will be a walk to the post office to mail the first of my mother’s Christmas cards, and then Amazon store to pick up some small things I purchased for myself. Merry Hannustmis to me!

    • Steve says:

I just walked back, having mailed a Christmas card and birthday card to an old HS friend in Australia . Line not too bad.

      • Fortunately I just need to drop the card into the mailbox.

      • Barb says:

Thanks for the reminder to drop a card in the mailbox.
A friend who’s mom has Alzheimer’s LOVES opening mail.
So – she asked some of us to mailing her mom a card or 2 here & there.
(the DAV has started sending me greeting cards, a perfect thing to use for this)

I am most definitely in the wrong line of work. Apparently scientists needed to protect a certain species of fox and so had to use helicopters to catch the eagles that were eating the foxes:

Chasing eagles with helicopters is *way* more interesting than what I’m trying to get my head into this afternoon. 🙂

Boil water alert lifted. Drink up!
