Things are moving slowly. My body hurts, and in one case I am not even sure what type of doctor to consult about my condition. I suppose I will worry about it more if it persists. Ah life…

Wanted to mount the trainer last night but I was hungry when I arrived home after grocery shopping (again?) and lied to myself that it was early enough to eat, and exercise later. Must get exercise today.

At least it’s Friday, right?

No sign of the wreck which caused our consternation yesterday. Guess I need to look and see if the Newnan paper picked it up.

Good dinner and wonderful desserts last night. Frank’s Old Mill in Fayetteville.

Barb, if you’re wondering where your shipment is, I found it:

Today’s exercise will be walking at ATL and DEN! Off to COS after work.

I had seen an article about this – great pictures.
I’m glad I don’t deal with international shipments.

  3. barb says:

I did nothing last night – I think I’m finally recovering from the long holidays.
1 more party this Saturday night, and I think I’m done.

  4. Bonnie says:

Sorry Paulie 🙁. Happy early birthday to Steve! I assume you had your birthday dinner last night because Debbie will be gone this weekend?

  5. Barb says:

on my FB memories, a party 10 years ago at the old place, what were those letters again? JEF____ ?
Happy Birthday to you in Colorado? too bad you don’t have time to go skiing.

    • I tried searching this site and failed. However I did read comments from people back in the olden days who I have no idea who they are today.

Happy Birthday Steve, have a good trip.

      • Barb says:

I just went back 10 years to read some posts – damn you wrote a lot back then. I see why you stopped – the pressure!!!
the ones I read I recognized plenty of folks – some that are still around today.

Speaking on missing folks – ITP-Lurker – where are you?

        • I used to have a lot more “free time” at work when I was in management. 😉

        • ITP Lurker says:

Hey, Barb! I’m around, just haven’t had anything to say as of late. I see that as a good thing. I had a couple of breakthroughs in the last couple of months that have me feeling much better in my skin. And I finally have some measure of control over my damn mouth. 😂

By the way, it was JEFDSDR (Just Enough Farm Day Spa and Dude Ranch). I can rock some Google searches. 😀

And Bonnie, clearly it’s good to be your cat. I hope Willow enjoyed her party.

  6. Barb says:

did you see the Big Brag route?
we are considering doing just 1 day (Sunday 6/2 – Ellijay to Gainesville) or maybe 3 days (then Covington then Milledgeville)
Probably/maybe stay at JoAnna’s cabin in Ellijay.
That might make me/us get on the bike a little more this spring.

    • Saw the route, but it had no relevance to me so I stopped looking at it. I know I keep saying that I will do BRAG one day, perhaps I should get a move on doing so before I am no longer physically able to do it?

      • Barb says:

Its not a bad route this year (mountain to sea) – but I don’t want to do the whole week. So, maybe half the week, or maybe just 1 day. I like the people that we camp with (some of the STU people, some others) so that helps.
I need to get back to riding, so planning something like this will help.
I do have a friend that lives in Darien (the end town) so that’s the only reason I’d want to dot he whole week.

  7. So I will throw out a question/request:

The confusing health problem is a bothersome lump that has appeared on my gums, high near the top of the gums, very near to where the crown was put in last July. I am very concerned about this. I am scheduled to get my semi-annual checkup in February. Should I try to move this up and ask my dentist about all of this? Are the gums in the domain of a dentist or is there another specialist I should consider? Sadly I have no dental insurance.

    • Bonnie says:

I would start at the dentist. While I haven’t seen this lump, I have had what I consider lumps above the gumline when I have needed root canals. They were abcesses that got so big they started to show up physically as lumps. But my lumps weren’t painful themselves, the pain was moreso deeper inside, if that makes sense. Not to scare you, just saying… Also, Pete had a weird “spot” in his mouth once that the dentist had to biopsy and then cauterize.

However, I know you have already had 2 dentists examine the pain issue in the past with no result, so I know you’ve got that on your mind, and it would bother me as well… ???

      • Bonnie says:

Also, the last time I let a lump and pain go too long it resulted in an implant. However, in my case the dentist easily and quickly identified the problem… Visually and evident on both regular X-rays and the fancy 3-D X-rays

      • Thanks. Don’t worry about scaring me, my mind has gone to all corners of health concerns already.

        • Steve says:

As Debbie and I like to say to one another, “It’s a tumor”. I used to get these sometimes- usually just passed on their own. The dentist can decide if it’s a tumor!

        • Barb says:

my periodontist- Dr. Cheryl Cushman is out by Six Flags – but she’s very good. I had 2 gum surgeries. If you ever have to actually go that route. (it ain’t cheap, even with insurance)

  8. In happier news (for me) I have purchases waiting for me at Amazon store and if the weather permits I will walk there after work.

  9. Barb says:

We are thinking about going to the Glover Park Brewery (Marietta Square) for a band called Son-N-Britches. I think they say they are southern rock.
Haven’t tried the beer at that brewery yet……….
