Hashing happened last night, proving again why “running” is no longer in my oeuvre.

Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 212.2 pounds (-1.6 from last week’s weigh-in); woot.

Woot! I gained a pound on the campout and another from eating a veggie burger and onion rings at George’s last night, along with a HUGE cookie from Cacoa Cafe.

Yesterday I test rode bikes at Atlanta Cycling (Ansley). Trek FX line of fitness bikes and a couple different road bikes. Hoping to have time to do another round of test rides at Outback this week sometime. Not sure what I thought, they are all so different from my 22-year-old entry-level mountain bike. 😁 The more expensive road bike was NICE, but in a universe where I can only purchase one bike, a road bike is probably not the right choice…

Crazy day at work yesterday – we need to hire someone, but they are dragging their feet. (they don’t want to pay enough, so we get no good applicants)

Went out for a low key birthday dinner for Allan at Los Bravos with the in-laws, and Mike & Stephanie. She was nice enough to take some hostas off my hands – I’ve almost given away all the extras.

and – I meant to reply about the bike………
yes – keep test riding, find one you like how it fits.
and – of course the higher priced ones will be better, there’s a reason for that.
Get one “for now”, and then maybe get a part-time job to buy what you really want someday?

Tell Pete at Outback I said hello. Look for the best fitting bike in your price range. And ask about “gravel bikes”.

We went over to a friends last night to see her new foal and new ponies!! Some seriously cute horses. Murphy is getting ridden by students in Nashville (went up from Ocala on Sunday) and the trainer has some interest from the students. Will be sad to see him off the payroll, but glad…

Hope to get a ride in this evening, then finish putting on the crash bars.

  3. A pizza buffet can be calorically disastrous, even for a pseudo-vegetarian like myself, but damn was it delicious.

      pizza buffet – where?
      we have pizza delivered today……….

    • Ray’s Pizza on 5th Street has a $11 buffet from 11-3. I get credit to walking to Amazon Store, and lose credit for caving to pizza buffet.

On the bright side, the food I was planning to eat for dinner will now be halved and I will eat the second half for lunch tomorrow. 🙂
