As the soft, white, underbelly of my left forearm begins to itch this morning I fear that I am starting to suffer the consequences of hot-weather hashing — poison ivy. If so, I have to assume that given the timing as well as the vast differences in terrain that this was picked up on Sunday, rather than Monday.
I also have a little something going on with my left eye that I will be monitoring as well.
Ah the pleasures of being allergic to the outdoors…
Barb, how was the game last night?
I think I will focus my baseball attention on a league about which I have just heard called the Sunbelt League. Apparently the Sunbelt League is a summer league comprised of college players, and an adult ticket to a game costs a whopping $5.
Maybe get a group together to go sometime? That is, if they serve beer… 😉
We should.
I had both of those thoughts immediately after posting that comment. Great minds think alike! 😉
Baseball game was fun – we took a Lyft to the game since Randy (aka Pantywaste) & Liz could give is a ride home.
Delta 360 club is the way to go – free food & free beer & wine, and waiters to bring you whatever you need if you go outside to the seats.
Guy in front of us got a ticket off StubHub for less than $100 (ticket price is I think $250) – so if we ever want to go to a game again where we’d have to buy tickets, I might look into that option.
We left in the 8th inning, (Liz had enough wine if you know what I mean) and Braves were not looking good, so we figured the game was lost.
Ugh, sorry Paulie. 😕
Thanks. Par for the course however. This too shall pass, it just may need steroids to help it pass quicker.
Hope you are starting to feel better.
Still hacking up a lung and blowing my nose. Still hurts to swallow. And breathe. I don’t always have a voice. But hoping it’s starting to move on out a little? Fuck fuck fuck.
Paulie does your wrist still hurt today?
Yesterday I got out of the house for the second time since Thursday, rode shotgun to CHaRM. Big fun. Woot!
Wrist seems better, perhaps because other body parts have taken precedence? 🤷ðŸ»â€â™‚ï¸
Hooray for getting outdoors! 🙌ðŸ»
The baseball appears to be at high schools mostly, so the chances of beer are slim (even consumption). And the games are all afternoon starts! WTF,O?
Late on yesterday’s blog was KKGB sightings here, and horse people are crazy! This should not come as a surprise to some, but a woman flew to Nashville to try Murphy- could not get him to trot (!!!) and still pulled the trigger at what we were asking!
So long Murphy, be a good boy.

These are college players, so they have to get done early so they can get cleaned up to go out and pick up women after the games…
Unrelated to horses and baseball, I’m glad to see burnout is a legitimate medical condition now: https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/27/health/who-burnout-disease-trnd/index.html
I burned out hard a few years ago. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, and it definitely got me to be more proactive about heading it off at the pass going forward.
Funny, like Barb, I was offered 2 free tickets in a suite at the Infinite Energy Center for a Latino band for Friday night. A) I don’t want to drive that far for this band, and B) I’ll either be sick or resting up for Prom. Too bad.
