Very low-key evening for me last night, the highlight of which was free-styling a Thai dish in the Instant Pot.

Today I’ll start my day with a hike to the Amazon Store and Whole Foods. I have Amazon purchases at both places that need to be picked up.

As always today, September 11th, is a somber day for many. Eighteen years have passed since the life-altering events that took place in our country. Never forget; embrace the day.

An early Games meeting before the meeting to talk new radios. We finally invested in our own, instead of renting, and we’re shuffling who will share what channels. Until the actual event, we really only have a good guess…

Waze got a little crazy driving home- it wanted me to get off P’tree Industrial to get to 285. Not sure why he got confused. I don’t know if it helped me to get off the freeway and follow Spring and get back on at the curve. An hour and a half at the tail of rush hour.

I feel the need for some OK Café!! Barb?

I made a meatloaf for dinner last night- I gotta say, I don’t really follow a recipe, so its always different – but it was quite tasty last night. I wish I could remember what I did (or didn’t do).
The in-laws joined us at the last minute- didn’t want too may leftovers.
I guess Kevin is going to be somewhere on this side of the world (some race in Canada maybe?) so they were collecting things to give to him, to take back to Spain, hidden in the bike boxes. They get taxed on boxes of ‘stuff” that are sent to them.

  3. It’s amazing how sweaty I can become on a walk. I get that the humidity is high, but still… Glad I brought a change of shirts today.

    When does $50 = $1200? When a car is involved 🙁
Channeling my inner Paulie with car expenses today. Fun fact, flushing and replacing fluids on a 4 wheel drive transmission is over $400 yay! On the plus side though, since I am somewhat handy, the $900 they wanted to replace brake pads/rotors will only cost me $400.
Only problem now is I’m on a time crunch since there is no way I want to navigate the hills around Cloudland Canyon next weekend with my brakes in their current situation. I know what I’m doing this weekend.

    • Ouch, sorry Bob. At least you are handy, I have no knowledge of automobiles. Computers, bicycles, yes; automobiles, no.

    • Barb says:

      you go Bob!!!
I’m too afraid to work on cars myself (or even have Allan do it).
there are certain things I will always pay someone to do.

    • bob says:

I do pay to get a lot done as I know my limits. Brakes though are super simple and only take about an hour to do pads all around. Never done rotors though so I expect some cussing and tool throwing up in Roswell this weekend 🙂

I embraced the day by buying a t-shirt:

I also bought this one recently for my kids:

      too funny!
I’m not allowed to buy tshirts – unless I get rid of a bunch I already have.
I do need to go thru my drawers & get rid of a bunch.

    • I’ve seen something similar to the latter on the Duck Rabbit beer bottles.

I too have a moratorium on T-shirt buying, unless it’s hash-related or something that really pleases me.
