I keep having to remind myself that the road to success is paved with failures. At the rate I am going I will be ready to lay down a super highway soon…

Last night I couldn’t deal with being around people so I skipped German class and went home, stopping briefly at Aldi. The plan became “go home, and attempt the bbq cauliflower bites recipe that I saw the other day”. Unfortunately, imho, the batter produced was far too thick and thus the cauliflower never crisped in the oven. The final product was tasty and sweet, but bore no resemblance to my desired outcome. I would have eaten the leftovers for lunch, had I not taken the wrong container of leftovers from the refrigerator this morning. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I did have a success yesterday though, I once again can log into Flickr. So, there goes my excuse of not posting photos here. At least I have that going for me now.

Food party at Claire & Darrell’s tonight -come on!
I’m bringing beer cheese soup, but it isn’t vegetarian. (it has chicken broth) So then I decided it may as well have bacon & chicken in it.
I know GE made some pretzels that looked pretty good in the picture.
and Claire has a bunch of sausages I’m guessing they are grilling.
After that – have no idea what’s going on.

We got more “Home Chef” meals last night. Debbie had a big lunch, so wasn’t interested. Also in the package was a sample of pancake mix. Dinner for me became pancakes!! OK, but I screwed up by misreading the amount of water to add. Came out a little thick, but still edible.

Brownie was out scavenging last night. I awoke to a deer leg in the bedroom. Debbie found the rest of the carcass in the carport. A lot of carcass. Guess I’ll have to talk with him- again.

    • I’ll eat breakfast for any meal! And because I brought in the wrong leftovers today my lunch is now the same as my breakfast.

I’m surprised that Brownie still has the get up and go to catch a deer. Saddened for the loss of a deer, of course.

No, he’s picking up the leftovers of the hunters across the street.
And trust me, while you don’t want the deer to suffer, there are plenty around. Without a natural enemy, the population pretty much goes unchecked.

      • Ah, I see.

I guess hunting season is right around the corner (or has it already started?) I suppose I should start wearing bright colors when hashing Black Sheep or Hog Mountain.

          hunting season has started.
cant’ mtn bike at allatoona at all until I think January.

        • Steve says:

Normally, deer season opens Games weekend or Setup weekend, depending on how the calendar falls.

Now if they reintroduced more coyotes, then there would be fewer deer and Debbie would have more to chase! Bears would also be nice- she wants to pet them.
