Well we all are indeed old… 😉

    • Counselor, I have two defenses:
      1. there were two spaces between “a“ and “old” so clearly there was a letter missing. 🙃
      2. nobody would use “a” instead of “an” when the word that follows it begins with a vowel sound. 🙄

      Fixed.

  2. Steve says:

Is this the invitation only camp out? While you come South, I’ll be heading North- first stop Saturday will be the actual funeral in Tucker, then on to Hoschton to spend the night with Scottish friends before the CX race at Road Atlanta on Sunday. Guess I need to print out the flyer…

The visitation last night was, as expected, pretty somber. Lisa worked in the Gwinette county schools as a paraprofessional, so there were many teacher types besides all the Scots. As y’all well know, I’m generally not speechless, but I have nothing for this. As I told Burt when I hugged him last night (“I’m speechless”.)

If I’m lucky, I will be able to find a TV to watch a little Alabama/LSU football tomorrow. I think we may have our hands full. RTR!

    • Of course I can’t say that it is that campout, but it is. 😉 And, we no longer head South, we head East for the weekend because we used up all of the trails at FDR.

Should be a good game watching #2 play #3! Wait, what? Yep, somehow Ohio State is now #1. And now you know why I have given up on the NCAA.

      • Steve says:

Yeah, since last weekend was off for Alabama, I didn’t pay attention to OSU slipping in to #1. We shall see.

Used up all the trails? I suppose if you always wanted to A to A from the campground, then maybe. Are you taking your hash wife? 🙂

      • We did a few A to B, but the organizers (not it) wanted a change of scenery.

Yep, picking up Glory Mole (aka Bonnie) at 12:30

Steve – that sort of funeral is just no fun at all.
So sorry for the loss of your friend. How awful.

why the hell are you a Bama fan?
its like being a Patriots fan – BORING.

      • Steve is old, he probably became a fan because of Bear Bryant. 😛

        • Steve says:

Ding, ding, ding!! And it’s Paulie for the win! For those of you who remember, I was born in Birmingham- during the days of Bear Bryant. Joe Namath was the first Alabama QB I remember, followed shortly by Ken Stabler. Both NFL Hall of Famer and Superbowl winners.

I’m sort of glad we aren’t camping this weekend – its going to be nipply.
And-we have gotten spoiled with the camper – is there any way to bring a camper?

We actually are going to Lake Oconee with Pantywaste & Buttsucker – they’ve invited us down to their trailer/traincar (something) on the lake forever, and we set up this date long ago.
note to self – I need the address from Liz.

    • No idea about campers here, since I am not a camper owner. I’m glad it will be cold, at least then I can sit near a huge fire. Note to self: don’t melt shoes again. 😂

Trump/Pence are in town much of today. There goes our traffic.

    • barb says:

flying into Dobbins – right near my office. This should be fun.

    • Glad I am headed in an opposite direction.

      • Steve says:

        MARTA is Smarta!

After his visit to Florida a couple months ago, I just happened to see Air Force 1 as it returned to DC. How did I know? I don’t think I could see the paint job, but the following fighter jets were a giveaway.

        • bob says:

I once saw Air Force One fly in to Detroit metro when I worked there. What a cool experience, imagine a super busy airport all of a sudden come to a stop, then a couple black hawk helicopters come in and survey the runway, then the fighter jets escort a 747 that seems to come in from nowhere and stick a landing. Way cool to see!

          • barb says:

Allan was working at the airport when they came in a few years ago – the couple days of prep with the secret service, and how it all happened so quickly for the landing & take off. He said one of the few highlights of working down there for the AFR.

  5. Bob Knoll says:

Have fun camping, I just did a rainy cold week in Arkansas. Was rough even in a camper, could not imagine doing that in a tent. At least there will be no rain for you.

  6. barb says:

I got stuck in trump roadblocks at 1330. thought he was getting here 1230?
Cobb Cty cop was an ASS, they were letting people turn left off Delk onto Franklin, but I couldn’t cross Delk while I was on Franklin?
ASSHOLE. I almost asked for his name & badge#. Had to take the longest round about way back to the office, took me at least 20 minutes (when I was 1 minute from my office), and that was being creative going thru some parking lots.
