A bunch of quick hits today…

I don’t understand batteries in iOS devices, or perhaps I don’t understand how iOS queries their strength. My iPad Air 2 was at 38%, I restarted it, it was at 58%, and now it is slowly losing charge, reporting at 43%. Look for changes in my iPad lineup this year, but not until I am certain that Apple is not releasing new versions in Spring.

I need to figure out how to make more time for personal projects. Changes are in the works for 2020.

On Monday night the Turkey trail will be set by me and a Mystery Hare. Go ahead, take a guess, you know you are correct.

Last night I resumed “Wednesday at Betsy’s” during which we cook and then watch reruns of “Top Chef”. It was my turn to cook; I made a curry in the Instant Pot that features potatoes, fake steak, peppers (red bell and jalapeño), onions, as well as all of the things you identify with curries such as — curry powder, garam Marsala, coconut milk, etc. The recipe is a Paulie-(highly)-modified version of an Instant Pot Curry Chicken and, if I do say so myself, was tasty.

It feels like Friday to me. At least I am not starting today by mopping water while on my knees. I was going to try to work from home tomorrow, but then remembered that I need to do laundry.

At 54 years old I finally found out from where we get sesame seeds — spoiler, it’s right there in the name.

Tonight is a “stay at home and cook night”. I have ideas as to what I will be making, and will discuss (perhaps with photos) tomorrow.

In order to get more personal projects done, I believe one key is cutting back on social / extracurricular activities. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Telling your friends, “Sorry, I can’t do that this weekend.” Adulting is hard.

I logged my food yesterday and stayed within my calorie limits! 😁

Confession: I did cave and opened a bottle of red wine (wasn’t going to drink during the week). I had 4 oz. (100 calories, as I understand) with dinner. I discovered one of my glasses only holds 4 oz. so I think I’ve found a perfect measuring vessel for a 100-calorie snack 😄. The app tells me I need to eat no more than 1,200 calories per day—it can be quite hard, although generally easier when eating all meals at home. 😁

You had 4 oz of wine – I had a whole bottle.
this is why you are skinny & I am not.

Went to City Winery last night for the A1A show, it was a lot of fun.
Then picked up the in-laws at the airport at 11pm – long evening.
Maybe tonight, or tomorrow, or someday we will hear the details of their trip.
They had 2 stopovers – AMS then JFK. long day of travel.

Barb, you are stronger and fitter! Oh don’t you worry, I’ve drank/drunk? whole bottles many a time. Especially when “out”, which you were. And surely I’ll swing the other way again soon. 🤣 I tend to be “good” when the husband is home, for one, because he can be judge-y about it. He thinks having one sip makes you an alcoholic… 🙄

Attempting to work from home after the dermatologist visit this morning. They were not pleased with the little spot either and sent a sample off to the lab to be tested. All my other various blemishes are normal.

Hoping the forecast for the weekend is not as dire as it appears. Apparently bad, bad weather on Saturday with an improvement for Sunday. I’m currently suffering from PMS- Parked Motorcycle Syndrome and I keep hoping for some relief. From pictures on social media, it seems like not many other places are suffering from monsoon season like we appear to be.

Debbie did go by and see her mom yesterday. Not a lot of change. She is awake and seems aware…

Mystery co-hare. Good luck with that.
