If I am not mistaken, and I often am about this, I once again missed the “anniversary” of my father’s passing yesterday. He has been dead for twenty-three years? Whoa.

On a brighter note: Yesterday I realized that my self-improvement time needed a catchy name; introducing “The Wee Hours” for the time each day (hopefully) that I carve out to do projects that interest me.

I have to keep in mind that footwear is an important part of staying uninjured, okay less injured. Yesterday’s four miles of walking in Chuck Taylors, perhaps just this pair of Chuck Taylors, rubbed my pinky toes in the wrong.

Dinner at Betsy’s was a delicious split pea soup. This was perhaps the first time that I have eaten split pea soup.

A quiet night with Debbie at her sisters, taking care of Mom.

Landscaper guy stopped by with his crew yesterday to inspect the “swimming hole” that sits in front of the barn. He didn’t read the forecast for last night and thought he might get started today. Maybe tomorrow. I’m sure it’s a lake today- the rain woke me (not sure what time) as I had let the dogs out some time earlier. All were back inside before the bottom fell out.

Split pea? Sometimes yes, mostly no. Unless it has a big ol’ piece of ham!

We decided it was time to finally go see the final Star Wars movie last night.
I convinced Allan to walk up there, its only 1.7 miles.
then – considered Lyfting home, but the price was about $10.
Guess what -we walked. The street lights aren’t too bad, but sidewalks are just not level at all. I did manage to not trip & fall.

  4. We were just informed that the office will be officially closed Monday. I planned to take the day off regardless, but this makes me look like less of a slacker.

My partner in crime (Sam) just asked if I’d like to swap my day off so he could take his wife off for her birthday- 4 day weekend this week? SURE! It’s Friday!!
