I spent Galentines Night at Theatrical Outfit downtown seeing “Slow Food”. The play, which ends its run on Sunday, is a lighthearted look at a couple on vacation trying to eat dinner at a Greek restaurant but are thwarted at every turn, mostly by an insufferable waiter; it was cute. Unbeknownst to me there were two others in attendance who I know, though I didn’t get a chance to say hello to either.

Today marks my seventeenth (roughly, because who else counts this?) year of uninterrupted solidarity on Valentines Day.

Surprisingly there is little traffic on a Friday Valentines, well, at least when you leave your house at 5:10am. I’m in early so that I can leave early, as well as conduct a little personal business later this morning.

Cheers all,
Paulie

  1. Oh yeah, on my drive home last night I saw that Bada Bings, the bar at the corner of Hill/Decatur has gone out of business.

So, you are buying in to this newly created day called Galentines Day?
We fished, catching nothing, and then chilled out all afternoon.
Then went to a fancy dinner in a not fancy location.

We are thinking about heading out to try fishing again this morning.
Then maybe a brewery visit, then cooking dinner at home.
This is a great chill out & relax kind of vacation.

A nice quiet evening feeding horses and dogs and cats. I was cleaning the barn (which they had been trashing over the last few days) and scraping a shovel along the concrete- the horses thought they were about to be murdered! Ran out of the barn 3 times!

Ready for a 3 day weekend!

    • Federal 3-Day Weekend. For most of us working stiffs Monday is a work day. For me it’s topped off with a dental checkup.

I am glad that I remembered Monday was a Federal holiday because I now have to go to a bank today to work out an issue I had.
