On yet another rainy day in Atlanta I am simultaneously trying to return normality to my life, as well as change it. Good luck with that, right?

Mostly due to the weather I skipped the hash last night. Bonnie decided to do the same so we shared a few of the beers I had in stock while eating a lovely vegetarian curry she prepared. I also got to hang out with her cats, especially Nigel, who loves to jump up and lay in my lap.

A busy day lies ahead of me as I still attempt to rid my body of the cough that has inhabited it for nearly ten days. 🤨

    Cough?!
    10 days?!

    //backs away from Paulie, slowly…

Ham: “Hello, Corona Hotline? Yes, I like to order a case of Corona Light (Paulie’s fav). Do you ship to Atlanta?”
Hotline: “Sorry sir, this is the Corona VIRUS Hotline….”
    Ham: “Errrrr, OK sorry.”

Sorry, I can’t stay longer, I’m off to do more…panic buying.

    – N95 masks: check
    – Purell: check
    – Food: Oh oh….. <— check your local grocery shelves.
(I understand several Costco stores had record days over the weekend?)

    • Yep, nearly ten days. The first round of meds prescribed last Friday haven’t killed it. I have another prescription (that I need to locate) and fill tomorrow.

      John – aren’t you funny.
We are flying to Barcelona next Wednesday – we may be stranded & never come home…………. I really don’t want to cancel the trip, but we will see what happens over the next week.
Allan has gotten us travel sized hand sanitizer & wipes for the airplane, and hopefully we will be fine.

    • Good luck Barb. While a serious topic, I can’t prescribe to living in fear. I believe in precaution and preparation over panic.

I am with you on that – I mean, how many people die from the flu every year? And really – this virus is pretty similar.

I think the issue is they don’t have a good idea how it’s being transmitted. Like you said, it isn’t much different from the flu, except for transmission.

The Fed has cancelled all system level meetings, so no big pow-wows. They are taking this pretty seriously. The fun fact from yesterday, after I heard about the 2 deaths in the nursing home in Seattle was they did a regression on the virus and determined it had been wandering around the area since January. Lovely.

A good half hour on the trainer last night, followed by Debbie’s jambalaya (!!) and I was pretty well asleep by 9! These long race weekends just kill me.

And Little Willy might get sprung today! Somebody snuck in one of his cats over the weekend!! Hashers…
