Last night was almost the antithesis of Tuesday. I decided to beat traffic by taking work home with me, made a quick stop at Kroger, went home, cooked, ate, and cleaned all by 7:45pm! Then I made the mistake of allowing myself to take a “break” — I accomplished little further.

Today is the first Thursday of the month, which means it’s SLUT hash time. I’m currently on the fence due to the shitty weather we’ve had this week, and all of my nagging injuries/illness.

An enjoyable lunch with Stacy at Kameels in Peachtree Center yesterday. Hopping on MARTA makes that very doable.

Stopped on the way home to pick up a new headlight bulb. My loose connection finally blew the bulb out. Replaced it last night prior to a half hour on the trainer. What a PITA it is to swap that bulb. “springs” hold it in place and it’s neither easy to get loose or replace due to being hard to access. Plenty of light this morning!

Steve, glad to see you and Stacy upgraded from CFA. I was a regular at Kameel’s Colony Square outpost back in the 90s.

I learned a new German word today, hamsterkauf means panic buying, presumably face masks and hand sanitizer these days, although it also reminds me of the bread/milk pillages when there’s even a hint of snow in the forecast.

I know I was eating in Colony Square during their reign, but I was partial to the Chinese place at the north end. Hated to see them pack up.

      Hamster Cough! 🙂

Just like “Wash Salon”, I’m now going to use “Hamster Cough” whenever I can.

I’ll butcher you bit by bit, German language! 😉

And now we’re down to only being able to choose from elderly old white men for president, AGAIN. As I saw someone else observe, we went from the most diverse field ever back to this again. Ugh!

I realized a long time ago, all of this — all of it — is simply political theater.

Rationalized, spun and packaged for us to consume via a biased media.

Ever wonder what goes on in those meetings in the big corner conference room at work? The ones with all the heavy breather executives, etc? The ones where decisions are made then the rest of the time is spent deciding what to tell the employees…and the press.

I used to wonder too, until I was in those meetings. Even running some of them (as a “highly paid consultant”).

This is exactly how government works, both political parties, at all levels…local, state and…federal.

The Dems had a pretty diverse field of candidates. Now it’s down to what?
      Two old rich white guys….

      You heard it here first:
      “(Michele) Obama/Winfrew — 2020” <— think aobut it.

      Today's trivia:
Question: "How do you forgive student loans?"
Answer: "Use the force of law to get other people, that never took the loans out in the first place, to pay for them…"

      See also "Government healthcare…."

BTW: Anybody else ready for all the rain to stop?
