Anyone need a recipe for pumpkin pudding bread? Yesterday I accidentally created one by carefully reading the quantities for all ingredients in the pumpkin bread recipe, except for the pumpkin. The recipe called for one cup, I erroneously added one can. 🤦🏻‍♂️ At least this explained why the “bread” looked so wet at the end of the directed baking time. Oh well, at least it’s still edible.

Yesterday Bonnie and I ventured up to Buford Highway to spend hours perusing the multiple aisles of the Buford Highway Farmers Market. Due to my upcoming schedule this week I won’t be doing much cooking, so I didn’t “need” anything. However, I managed to spend $58 regardless of this fact.

On Friday I called to make an appointment with my dermatologist; I’ll finally be getting a once-over and hope to have some questions answered. I expected an appointment a month or more out, but I was informed that they had cancellations for today, so I snapped up one of those openings. The dermatology office is on West Paces Ferry, perhaps I’ll reward my good luck with a lunch at OK Cafe, but I should probably return directly to the office and eat some of the leftovers I have here.

  1. Oh yeah, I also attended a play on Friday night, “Seize the King” at Hertz Stage, and did this crazy thin called “riding my trainer” yesterday. Note the lack of “personal” before “trainer” because that would be a different exercise all together. 🙄

It was a long day Friday, what with being at Emory reasonably early. While I did fall asleep during the MRI, it still managed to give me a headache. Maybe too much magnetic field. The cognitive tests have me worried. Think I might do a little more investigating on my own.

Saturday was a pretty good day and I managed 20 on the road at a pretty good pace. Sunday was a lazier day, with a scooter ride to breakfast, followed by some mowing of the upper pasture and some chain sawing of some cut trees. The actual owner has cut down the few trees that were on the property, including those that are on “our” section. Not sure I understand why, but I finished the job in one spot where he had left the tree down and not cleaned up. Glad to fire up the chain saw…

  3. While Covid-19 aka “Corona virus” is no laughing matter, this is is kind of funny… https://www.isitcanceledyet.com/

I’m waiting on Cisco Live to pull the plug, but it isn’t until the first week of June. Plenty of time… Barb, are you still going to Spain?

And on a totally unrelated note, the deer along I-85 this morning obviously did not get the memo about the time change. I rarely see deer, but this morning there were 2 groups of 3 or 4. It was still 4:30 to them, while it was 5:30 to the rest of us. Silly deer.

    • A lot of discussion whether Apple will hold WWDC this June, or will do it all virtually instead.

  4. If you are like me you may want to avoid looking at the stock market today. Things just keep getting worse, especially if you are invested in oil stocks… 😭

  5. Dermatologist visit good, no additional work needed, questions answered.

  6. Steve says:

That’s good news. Now try and keep up with the changes and you’ll be ahead of the game.

Alrighty, you guys keeping up on the dermatology front has worn me down, I just called and have an appointment for this Weds. to get checked out myself. I had a good run for a while where I went every year, but at some point fell off the wagon and now it’s been a few years.

Busy as hell, 2 of the 5 people in this office called in sick.
Yes- we are still leaving Wednesday.
