Not much to report today, other than OMG Thanksgiving is next week?

I have been watching a lot of YouTube videos, including an episode of “Name That Tune” from 1978 that was suggested to me. I suppose more people watched this video recently since the game show’s host, Tom Kennedy, died in October. However, the video which also included the original tv commercials, was an amazing time capsule of my childhood. As an added bonus, it also included a very beautiful singer named Kathy Lee Johnson, who like me most of you would better know as Kathy Lee Gifford. 😂

Hope you are doing well.

Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 187.2 pounds (-1.8 from last week’s weigh-in); Inconceivable! I must either be losing muscle and bone mass, don’t realize how much the the hair I have been losing weighs, have a tapeworm, or have figured out the secret to weight loss while injured and eating and drinking beer. I suppose that I could allow for other possibilities… 🤷🏻‍♂️

Debbie is somewhere between here and Virginia. She left at 0430 in a friends truck and trailer. I expect we will arrive about the same time- they expect to drive 12 hours. Blech.

Yesterday was spent running errands, but I did get a trainer ride in. I haven’t yet put the bike on the new trainer, as I have no software to drive it. I was able to finally upgrade the house laptop to W10 last night. Suppose I’ll pull the trigger on O365 to stay current.

The 3 new kittens are exploring the man cave, so the doors are shut to keep dogs out. Kittens and cute are just synonyms.

    Guess I better pack.

We still have Windows 7, LOL.

      • Steve says:

If you have enough machine, you can still get a free upgrade. It might also be easier to just buy new. I did bring up the PC and it seemed fine. Opened an Excel file without issue. We’ll see.

        • Bonnie says:

The husband is thinking about getting a new computer sometime in the relative future. I think ours may be 8 years old? Like he does with every computer, he says he’s done with Windows and is going to jump over to the Mac side, but TBD. Everything else in our universe is Apple.

        • Bonnie says:

He’s also got a list of specific reasons he didn’t upgrade with every upgrade… 🤷🏼‍♀️

I wish I could have my own computer (a laptop) but that will never be approved, LOL. And I know the next computer will again be a desktop—I’ve never had a laptop in my life!

Oh, Bonnie…what an unfortunate place to find one’s self in. I wish things were otherwise for you.

          • barb says:

we have a laptop, but its attached to a docking station, so I”ve never used it as a laptop.
I’ll thinking bout getting my own, as Allan has it all set up for him.
but really, I hav no desire to mess with a computer at home, after being here at work all day.
My Ipad is enough for the most part.

        • Perhaps your next “computer” should be a new tablet? By which I mean iPad of course. 😂

          • Bonnie says:

Yeah, our iPad is also 8 years old. It’s barely useable. All I can really do is surf the Internet, slowly. Many apps I use don’t work anymore. *Sigh*

    • The last Windows I ran on a PC in my house was Windows 95. 😂😂😂

  2. Breakfast was three large homemade biscuits made using Bisquick and slathered with butter. I am really testing my weight loss plan today. 😉

  3. For the first time in ages I am looking to buy so something on Black Friday (or whenever this occurs now). I want to purchase a CD player boom box for my game room (in anticipation of a day when people will be invited in again) to replace other pieces of stereo equipment. It’s like subtraction by addition if you will.

  4. Steve says:

Sheets changed, suitcase located and packed, animals fed. Now scouting breakfast options before departure.

Paulie, I know you’ve been on the dark side for a while, but there’s no need to seduce the young open minded like Bonnie. Sadly, I think my iPad is on its last legs. I can’t load Zwift on is as it’s too far out of date.

  5. The cable ripped off my neighbor’s house has already been reattached. I need to learn some project management skills from him!
