I’m struggling a bit to ensure that the crops in WLF from getting damaged from the frost. Of course, I as I continue to kill seedlings it may be 95°F outside before I fill the raised beds with plants.

As you read this I should be sitting in front of my laptop relearning how to code apps. I somehow pissed away Monday and Tuesday, and don’t want to do the same today.

I solved today’s Wordle in six attempts; my starter today was CUMIN

    Wordle in 6! Hrumph!

My dentist of… 30+ years is finally being forced to retire. They sold the building out from under him and the new owners are not interested in keeping him there. Apparently, Rick never had a lease with the old owner- a handshake was all that was needed. I’ve been bugging him for a while- he’s only been working 3 days a week for a while, but that’s still working.

Games meeting last night. I was handed a piece of mail which came through our PO box- a Christmas card from a vendor! And it came with a $100 Amazon gift card. Sweet!

George spent the night OUT last night and I’m worried…

Well, there’s a trend here, Wordle in 6 starting with CAPON. I had 4 letters in 4, and then played two more rounds of what’s that last fucking letter. Good times.

Steve, I’ve had my dentist since 1989. Other than American Express and Georgia Power I I don’t think I’ve had any relationships with service providers for that length of time. He is starting to work limited hours, and I do like the young guns that he’s brought on that will clearly ultimately take over.

My wife and I wrapped up our mediation work over the weekend. We’re going to stay long-term separated for a while because that’s what makes the most sense financially if we want to keep our kids at Paideia. I get to stay put in my house. It’s been a stressful period, so it’s good to be on the other side of it. I am pleased with myself though for surfing through the uncertainty with as much as ease as has been possible. I can date if I want to, but Christ, there’s not enough time in the day with two teenagers in the house. Maybe some day. I’m good with my new status in life.

CONGRATS on figuring things out with the wife, at least now you know where everything stands. Do the kids basically live with you? Or do they go back & forth?

      • steve says:

Yes! Congrats on a reasonably stable agreement. No how “amicable” you may be, it’s never fun.

      • David says:

Thank you, Barb! It’s been a journey, albeit fairly brief with regard to how these things can go. I am really glad to have kept it from going off the rails. We both have known from the beginning that lawyering up would only be self-destructive to both of us. The kids will be with me 80% of the time, which was what I wanted anyway.

busy work day – my co-worker who I”m covering for while he is on vacation is having all kinds of freight issues – fun times for me!!!

Apparently, George had pressing business which required his attention outside all night long. He has returned. I was really worried- the coyotes have been loud around the house lately.

We went to Ocean Wave (just typed Harry & Sons and deleted it!) last night, it was surprisingly busy given how cold it was and a Tuesday. Tonight I’m going to a Hawks players meet & greet. My bestie has season tickets and is a huge Hawks fan, and she needed someone to go with her. Should be fun!

  6. Put a left turn into today activities. Been outside for awhile burning some wood, poking around WLF. Back to coding this afternoon.

Wordle in 3 starting with AISLE. I once again had 4 correct letters in 2. Somehow that’s more frustrating than not.

George returned for a morning nap and is now back out and refusing to come in. He barks to be let in and then won’t come through the door. I’ve decided not to cajole any more. He can stay out until he gets with the program.

I started exercises to strengthen my knee last night. Hopefully between that and the meds, I won’t need PT next month.
