I attempted to bake zucchini bread yesterday with some of the zucchini I got in my veggie box. Its ok, but again I feel like most things I attempt to bake, its not great. I swear I followed the recipe. Oh well, it is edible.
Today I get to go to Sandy Springs to return the tshirts I washed with my Jackson laundry detergent study. I don’t take back the detergent – just the tshirts. 3 weeks of 1 detergent, 3 weeks of another. Fill out some online surveys about it. I get $150 for this fun.

As I played the Wordle and drank my coffee this morning, the dogs were a bit wound up. I saw Maggie and Phinney in the pasture, then saw Cash and Tanner in the back yard. Jailbreak! Tanner has hit the gate so hard it turned the striker so there isn’t much stopping it from opening. If we had the second gate closed, they would not have gone far, but…
A tasty lunch with Captain and Mrs. Grove yesterday. On the way home, Waze advised me of an “obstacle in the road ahead”. Normally a tire alligator or bumper- this time a whole pallet of boxes. Someone is going to be real surprised when they get to where they are going.

David is spot on: TGIF. What a week from hell. Glad it’s over. And we’re in the glide path to Thanksgiving break which I could really use, I haven’t had a day off since July. It’s completely dead at work today.
No plans this weekend except errands tomorrow and Finn’s swim lesson Sunday morning. We drop him at his mom’s right after the swim lesson and he spends the Thanksgiving week with her. Hallelujah.
We just went to Kroger – used the 4 times the fuel point coupon – spend $106 – got over 400 fuel points – that’s 40 cents off gas. Not bad for 1 shopping trip.
Bought 2 turkeys, other Thanksgiving supplies, and other stuff we need for stir frying dinner tonight.
Shit. I still need to get everything for Thanksgiving. I’ve been putting it off.

Good thing about having people over, they bring the majority of the sides.
You just have to organize people a little so that everyone doesn’t bring mashed potatoes!
so far NO mash potatoes have been mentioned – so I may be making some!
I am loving that all I have to do this Thanksgiving is get on an airplane. No cooking, no house full of people, no arguing over what we will do. It is really nice 🙂
It’s Friday and I’m off all next week, my trip to see family in Nevada is only Monday – Friday so I have 2 weekends free. Unfortunately, I won’t make the ride on Sunday as I have a prior commitment but looking forward to seeing Barb and Allan on matching e-bikes.
