Discovered yesterday that EZ Pass (NY/NJ/PA) charges a $1/month maintenance fee. What a bunch of bullshit. I am going to have to close this account before the system charges another $25 to my credit card on file.

Wordle: five, my starter was STEAL

Wordle in 5 and I had visions of going down in flames.

A busy day yesterday and a busy day in the office today.

Dinner at a local BBQ joint, then grocery shopping last night.

    Paulie, aren’t you in Raleigh?

doesn’t the Peach Pass work up north? Do you have both accounts?

  3. Barb says:

well just damn – Wordle in 3 with Paulie’s start word – my guessing was good today.

Raining and then the sun comes out and then it’s raining again. Make up your mind, earth!

Went to the new restaurant that went into the El Taco (RIP) space. It’s called Ela and it’s Mediterranean. Del Bar is better, but this is a pretty good substitute.

Today will have the most people in the office this week. We’re actually having a big school-wide lunch today.

I’m taking yet another car full of stuff to CHARM today. My “corner of shame” that has existed ever since I moved into the apartment is finally emptied and will stay that way now. It’s been a landing spot for things that I needed to unpack, recycle, or donate. I’m getting artwork on the wall, and I’m waiting on one last piece of furniture to arrive. I so needed to reboot my life, and I’m so glad that I have accomplished that. My artwork is photographs that I’ve taken on my travels, including a decently large canvas of a Grand Canyon vista that really turned out well. I never considered myself to be a photographer, but I have to admit that I clearly have an eye.

My 15 year old son and I watched 10 to Midnight last night, a super cheesey Charles Bronson movie. He and I have watched all of the Death Wish movies together. We agree that they’re so bad that they’re good. I wasn’t planning on having a TV in the apartment, until I realized that TV is a good way to get teenagers to stop and spend time with me for a minute here and there. I figured what the hell, if I can get a Black Friday deal for under $300, I’ll buy one. TV prices are insane, I got a 55″ Samsung with a drive-out price of $270 (that means with sales tax). I paid $2,500 or so back in 2005 or 2006 when I bought my previous flat screen TV. This one feels it was free by comparison.

  7. Another Atlanta brewery, Steady Hand, is closing.
