Income taxes are done. Once again it worked out that I owe the State nearly the same amount as I am getting back from the Federal Government. Pooh.

Wordle in 4 with my first 2 words getting me nothing and I almost had a 3!
News from the Fed- they are still talking about RTO, but so far, just talking. I did learn that the Board (of Governors in DC) is only coming in once a pay period, whereas we are at least 2 days a week. Definitely will be some changes for them (they are Gub’ment, don’t ask how that works.)
Another solid 40 minutes on the trainer last night. Looking forward to riding after work next week with the time change.

Wordle Semi-Spoiler: I had nothing correct after two guesses. My third guess got the first three letter correct, and then it took me three more guesses to finis it off.
The time change is next week? And today is Fat Tuesday? Man how this year is throwing me for a loop!
Co-worker is out all week, so I’m busy all day working.
This afternoon – Allan got invited to snorkel with the fishes at the Aquarium – somehow thru Hyox, as they do all the physicals for the people that work at the Aquarium, a few of them that work there get to go have some fun. I was hoping to go watch, but I’m too busy with work – I hope someone sends me a picture.
looking forward to DST – I’m ready for it to stay lighter later!
OK, that’s just cool! Does he not have a dive certification?
I don’t they offered true diving – probably too much trouble to be sure people know what they are doing?
He might have been certified way back when, I don’t know. I have zero desire to learn to dive – so it isn’t something we’ve ever really talked about.
That is very cool! I hope he posts some pics!
and – for $266 – you too could do this – it is something you can purchase to do on the Aquarium website. I was just reading thru the FAQs.
I wonder how they came up with $266? It’s such an odd number.
AND – most importantly – he is NOT paying for this experience. I love his part time job at Hyox, its so cool they do stuff like this for the employees). We seem to be made of money so far this 2025, but this would probably not be in the budget.
Funny, my buddy Hank used to volunteer at the aquarium. I joked that the only thing he probably missed was the free annual physical.
that’s pretty funny about Hank.
What did he do down there?
UGH, I hate time changes. Can’t we just leave it one way or the other!
A wonderfully chill dinner at Ocean Wave followed by two episodes of Only Murders in the Building.
The Emory emergency preparedness team has been sending out emails all week about a horrible thunderstorm/tornado happening tonight. Shouldn’t be a ton of rainfall but it looks like the winds will be the issue.
YES!!! Leave them clocks alone!
We started watching The Night Agent (on Netflix)
We are enjoying it. Getting close to done with season 1.
Tried watching Shoresy on Hulu (a friend highly recommended it)
– I sometimes just don’t get Canadian comedy.
I turned it off after 2 episodes, We will try another couple episodes before we completely write it off.
Comedy is so highly subjective. Some very popular comedies (The Office, Parks and Rec) do nothing for me.
Did you watch Letterkenny first? That would make a difference.
watched a little of it – and – I didn’t find it as hilarious as other people did. Maybe we will go back to Letterkenny – they revisit Shoresy.
What Jenka said. Even so, I sort of grew tired of Letterkenny and never finished their final season.
wordle in 4 – starting with Paulie’s word – RABID
*applause*
In from WLF choring. Cleaned a spot for a new, small bed, extended an existing bed, and transplanted some lettuce seedlings.
Lunch is more leftovers, this time a black lentil dish I made, served over rice.
Paulie – an Upside update – Dave is trying to get 18% & a 20% bonus (he got an email about a bonus – I didn’t) at Tin Drum today.
Your mileage clearly varies, but whenever I can get my state/federal tax liabilities to net out, I consider that an absolute win. I don’t want to give the government a penny more than I have to, and I won’t want to give them any interest free loans with my money either.
I had to pay a few hundred to State – but got a decent refund from the Feds.
Since i have to pay estimated taxes (as I can not get them correct out of our paychecks) – at least I’m not paying any penalties
