Walked from the ITP Estate to meet my buddies at Manny’s Grant Park yesterday afternoon. Glad I didn’t cycle, because it was so darn windy. Didn’t know my night would end at Argosy in East Atlanta Village, where, I bumped into Terri, aka “Star Whore”.

No drinking for me today.

Nearly signed up for a full-day conference about mushroom growing in Griffin, Georgia which is being held today. I just couldn’t convince myself that I’d get enough out of it…

    Wordle in 4.

Off to move some money around so we can pay for Cash’s medical bills. And maybe some good breakfast.

Davey can teach you all about mushroom growing – I’m sure for free.

  3. This cracked me up.

Yesterday I started cleaning out my basement. Today I saw my golf clubs and started thinking that they need to be donated. In cleaning out the bag, I found AN UNOPENED BOTTLE OF CORONA! I haven’t played golf in at least twenty years…

This is why I never go to Argosy, because I always see someone I know. Unlike your experience, it’s always someone I *don’t* want to see.

I am looking forward to the weekend, what a rough week. We don’t have Finn and I don’t have to go up to MA. Also I reached the accrual limit of vacation time so I took Monday off. Three day weekend, wahoo!

    • Barb says:

I’ve had to work way too hard this week covering my coworkers freight – as well as my own, and my stuff has been busy.
I wish I had Monday off.
But- I’m not overloaded with vacation days – so, I’ll have to suck it up & work

      • Jenka says:

I often lose vacation days because work is too busy. My boss just happens to be out of town on Monday so it worked out. I will probably use the other one (I need to use 2 per month) the next time I go to MA, even though technically I could use sick time (of which I have accrued 9.8 MONTHS).

        • Barb says:

so, will you call in sick for a year before you retire like Allan plans to do with the City? Or – do they pay off the sick time at a decent amount?
(CoA doesn’t pay but maybe .25 of the $$ amount that sick time is worth)

          • Jenka says:

No, we don’t get to take sick time with us. I’m just Gen X and never call in sick. That said, I was able to cancel my short term disability insurance so I am saving that every month.

          • Barb says:

I’m GenX & never call in sick as well.
But- I use my sick days every year -if I have a doc appt (or pretend to have a doc appt)
And – Allan will need me to drive him to an appt – so I will take a half day sick day that day.

We turned sick days into PTO days years ago and that works well. Since I really don’t punch a clock, I never have to use anytime for doctor’s appointments.

Moved $6k the old fashioned way. For some reason, Delta Credit Union takes their sweet time clearing checks, and since we wanted to pay the bill today…

Years ago, when Meg adopted Ella from China, they needed $7k in “new money”. I called downstairs to one of the cash supervisors and explained what I needed and we made it happen. Where I work comes in handy sometimes!

  6. Feel as if I’ve been a lazy POS today.
