The other day on my walk to/from Brownwood Park for my volunteering I saw a few people picking and eating mulberries. I can’t believe that I’ve known about these for over 25 years and have never done anything with them. A lot of birds also had a feast of mulberries from the tree in my back yard which is too high for me to harvest.
Fun time hanging with Hank at Limerick Junction yesterday for Cinc ‘o deMayo.
Wordle: three, my starter was PRIME
Up way too early this morning.
Limerick Junction, do they still have music?
I miss hearing that Green Alligator song. (Memories of bar hopping & drinking in the 1990s)
I was wondering if they still have live music. I didn’t see the stage I remembering there, but I may have not maid good enough attention.
Mondays at Limerick is $1 Busch Light day. This is $2 more than it’s worth, but after two $8 Guinness, and as a callback to RAGBRAI, I drank two.
Iowa & Busch Light just go together
That they do.
Wordle in 3.
Connections – perfect
Would have never ever gotten purple.
Y- B – G – P.
Wordle in 6 and I thought I was going down in flames!
Mowed the biggest pasture yesterday, then started work on replacing the awning gap filler. Looks like thick roofing felt, but it’s more rigid. The glue is being the PITA- will have to experiment with some solvents.
Since Barb planted the seed..
There were green alligators and long neck geese
Some humpty back camels and some chimpanzees
Some rats and cats and elephants, but as sure as you’re born
The loveliest of all was the unicorn

Steve- you know I’ve been singing it in my head all morning.
Lol
Likewise, TYVM.
I know me a couple Irish songs…
Just saw a small hawk, or perhaps falcon, swoop through WLF. This always amazes me.
Spread a little fertilizer on some of WLF’s beds, expecting rain starting tomorrow.
Also bagged my plan to do OTP-only store shopping in Conyers because ahead of the rain I really need to clean off the roof of the ITP Estate.
Is there a name for finding something an hour after you’ve ordered its replacement from Amazon? I’ve not found what I’ve ordered, but I know it’s in the house…
You have to put the apostrophe on the other side of the “o”, so it’s Cinc O’deMayo (like O’Sullivan).
Paulie, I was 100 feet away from you at Ocean Wave. That’s funny.
I am LOVING these cool temperatures!
This of course means it’s going to be above hellishly hot in August.
In my opinion it’s already above hellishly hot in July and August. We always go to this conference on Amelia Island at the end of July and I literally have to stay inside the whole time.
If you spend a week outside camping and bike riding in June then July and August are a breeze 🙂
Only a crazy person would do that.
I’ll correct that next year. 😀
I walked past Ocean Wave and thought of you. Lol
Now that’s funny…
Wordle in 2, with 4 greens on my first attempt.
SWEET!
Odd, I didn’t know Wordle would accept SHITE as a word. 😀
But it will accept PENIS… AMHIK!
Haha
Done with one of my least favorite chores, getting on the roof and cleaning it with the leaf blower.
Unrelated: my jeans are really tight around the waist.
REI email says “Know what your hiking pants say about you.”. I already do, they say I am much fatter than when I bought them in 2020, because they no longer fit.
