BRAG is a lot like Halloween, at least back when I hung out with someone who was big on dressing up for Halloween. Each year when it’s over I think “I will be better prepared next year!” and inevitably a few weeks before it I realized that all the things I thought I was going to accomplish, have not been.
I think the eyelid is fixed. Hoping it stays that way.
Wordle: four, my starter was CHAIR
Dang you get up early.
At the airport way too early.

Sorry John.
Got up at 2:45 to ride with my brother to work, leaving at 3am.
I was NOT the 1st person at the airport.
You have to get up really early to beat Barb to first comment when she’s flying. Lol
Ha!
So, I found out!

Flight delayed- some sort of maintenance issue.
Just hit a notice we should depart at 6:45.
We will see.
3/4 flight is of course connecting thru Atlanta, so plenty of people not happy.
They are all out at the desk trying to talk to the poor gate agent.
Went out & got a crappy sandwich & a Coke- almost $20.
I guess I should/could have asked the flight attendant for some cookies.
Watching a movie called companion- looks weird.
Weather permitting I will be getting an eighteen mile training ride in tonight. I would have done a solo ride this morning, but I hav a CHaRM appointment followed by a dental checkup in Marietta this morning.
Well, I may have been too optimistic about the eyelid. Imagine that, me too optimistic! There is still redness and swelling where the chalazion was/is and the steroid was injected. Though the eye doctor said it will take a few days for the chalazion to go away completely, this is not the experience I had eight years ago, so I have my doubts.
And if I am unfortunately correct, I’m done with the eye doctor. I’ll love with whatever imperfection remains, and if/when it flares up again I will seek out another practice.
I keep looking at weather forecasts. What a fucking rollercoaster this week will be. Two days ago we barely cracked 60°F, and according to what I see, by the weekend we will have nearly 90°F highs.
Whoooo hoooo- I’m finally departing Cedar Rapids.
Almost done with the 1-st movie – Companion – it’s Weird.
I’d never heard of it so I looked it up. I don’t think that is something I want to watch.
I didn’t think so either -but it was interestingly weird.
Those are the movies I watch on airplanes, one I would never pick at home.
Wordle in 6!! Wasn’t sure where I was going.
The meds my eye doc prescribed were supposed to be ready by 6 yesterday. After battling the finish mower (another different loose blade than last week) I was about to ride the trainer at almost 7, having given up on CVS. Then they messaged that the script was ready so off I went.
Beautiful morning, but you’re right, the rest of the forecast looks rough.
Games meeting tonight.

Listening to a gardening show from Memphis. The current topic is moles. I know Memphis is far away, with a somewhat different climate, but it makes me wish I caught, or at least got a better look, at the critter I saw last week.
Moles/voles have little pointy noses and about mouse sized. Maybe there’s a difference, but not to me.
That’s probably what I saw, a mole, but didn’t get a good enough look.
Big graduation weekend at Emory. My academic unit had its diploma ceremony Saturday morning so I was on campus at 7:30. I was able to leave as soon as the ceremony got underway, so not too bad. Yesterday the big Emory Commencement was supposed to happen on the Quad but Sunday they decided to pivot to the sports facility due to the rain, which required a massive amount of planning and changes. Everyone not having some role in it was required to work remotely anyway, so I was happily tapping on my laptop in my jammies all day yesterday. Hilarious that they had to pivot due to the rain, and the rain was over before the ceremony even ended!
Much better to pivot than to have a bunch of future donors get soaking wet. Even I can see the value of that! (pun intended)
Oh yeah, totally. I just thought Mother Nature was a cruel mistress for only raining during that couple hours and then being sunny the rest of the day!
lunch with Paulie up here in Marietta, since he was up this way for the dentist.
I got “ripped off” by Upside, he had 20% reward on his app, mine only had 6%.
Gave him some jars to use for canning, since I have plenty & I’m not going to ever need more than a few.
I needed the extra boost, Barb, assuming I get it, because I spent $360 at the dentist today. My oh my has the price of everything skyrocketed!
That’s close to what I spent at the periodontist last time – but somehow I got a check for around $270 back from my insurance.
With Gavric – I just pay what they say insurance doesn’t cover, and I usually have a balance I owe, or a credit – I never know. I’ve got another crown to start next week – so I’ll be paying more $$$$.
Yeah, no insurance involved so I got a 10% off the $390 price.
if I would have been thinking, I should have had you pay for mine, & I’d give you cash – as I’d love to get more money out of Upside, even if it isn’t in my account.
Yeah, we should have thought of that.
