Stage two, Cartersville to Jasper nearly broke me. The 48-mile route had 4000ft of elevation change, but worse than that had some climbs of nearly 18%! I walked my bike up two of those, and managed to pedal all of the other climbs.

    Wordle in 4.

Well, you knew going in that there was going to be climbing and if you only walked 2 hills, I’d say that’s a good day.

No exercise for me yesterday, except swinging a maddox to try and remove the last bit of a stump. This one had started to re-grow from when the tree was removed and the stump was left. A good upper body workout. No word on tractor parts… grrrr.

Still looking for a free muffler for the scooter. Made more posts but no response yet.

WORDLE IN 3 – WHOOO HOOO. (didn’t think that would happen after my 2nd guess)

    I did basically nothing yesterday.
Not sure why I had no energy at all, but my back was/is bothering me from standing way too much this past weekend.
Did make some turkey chili for dinner with some of the leftovers from the weekend party.
Allan’s turkey stock is almost done & ready to be frozen as stock & some turkey soup.

Isn’t Six Gap somewhere up there? What Steve said — if you only walked up two hills that is a good day! Wow.

We went out for sushi and then watched the Sox lose. Your typical Monday night.

    • Barb says:

6 Gap is over north of Dahlonega – they might get some of those hills soon enough. 😉

      • Steve says:

I used to ride 3 gap as a training ride back in the day. I would hate to see how badly I would ride it today.

        • Jenka says:

Kevin has done 6 Gap three times. He would die of a heart attack half way up the first foothill now.

          • Barb says:

I did 3 Gap once, many many years ago.
Now with my e-bike, I might think about it again, but I’d need to do some serious training before.

Steve – did you see on FB that Sarah Tynes crashed (but not hurt) at the bottom of Woody Gap this past weekend?

          • Steve says:

            I didn’t! That’s a nice downhill- nothing too technical that I recall.

          • Barb says:

hit a rumble (I think) managed to lay down the bike without anything getting broken on her & the bike, just some good roadrash. That’s a lucky fall.

  4. Day 3 is over. We are in Dawsonville.
