Awesome, thanks so much!

BTW, it's possible hubby does already know about it and just didn't tell me because he knows I don't care. But I'll pass this on to him just in case. Thanks!

I'm surprised that you didn't already know about this, Jenka.

The "main" website is Sports Car Club of America -- Atlanta Region

The event which I attended last week, as well as a schedule of upcoming events can be found at Solo Atlanta

Perhaps Barb. Perhaps. Though I wanted to make sure no one went out on trail looking for me like they had to at Lake Hartwell last year. ;)

I keep hearing about a SF bar called 21st Amendment. I'm not sure where it is, but it may be a destination for you.

Brenan, there was drifting at Turner Field two weeks ago. I was considering shooting it, but then found out it would cost me $10 to do so. Eff that! I think there are four or more autocross events scheduled for Turner Field this Spring.

Steve, I joked with my coworkers that I was only there to shoot for the insurance companies.

You set your self up for being called a pussy........ I think you wanted them to call you that ;-)

Should have just emailed Sani direct (or whoever is in charge of it).

I've got tons of work to do, but I'm so not in the mood, since we are leaving tomorrow morning for NorCal.
Any suggestions of places to go in San Fran monday afternoon/evening? Our hotel is by the Wharf somewhere. Friday thru Sunday will be filled with wine (barrel) tasting in the Russian River Valley.

Seems like an old friend who works at Road Atlanta tells a story of something similar on that track. A guy thought he was hot $hit and took his new Datsun 240zx out... and promptly rolled it. Insurance won't pay for something like that.

That would have been a nice call to make to your wife.

They held what I think was an autocross at the Turner Field parking lot last fall. I think what we saw/heard may have been called "drifting". It was very loud but very cool -- amazing that nobody crashed into the light poles scattered throughout the lot. Perhaps you could leverage your nice shots from this recent shoot into a spot in the passenger seat for some interesting POV shots? It would be one helluva ride!

The event was/is called Autocross. This one was held in one of the parking lots of Six Flags, in the near future they'll be holding them in the parking lot of Turner Field.

Essentially a track is marked out using cones and people can drive their street-legal cars around the track and get timed. I knew three people driving last weekend (none of the photos of them have been posted yet) so I went out to see what the event was all about.
