While I did play hooky for awhile yesterday I got almost all of my chores done in one fell swoop! I ate breakfast out at Homegrown, then picked up a purchase at Target, got some wood shavings for WLF at Petco, stopped into Publix for water and some BOGO pasta, and then finally got a haircut. All that was missing from my punchlist was a stop at Lowe’s and/or Home Depot.

My day was certainly better than the person who drove into the light pole on Ponce by Murder Kroger. I rolled through not long after the accident to see the vehicle on the sidewalk, people administering to the people in the vehicle, and the traffic light at Murder Kroger out.

Upon getting to work I had meetings including a benefits session. It’s a real shame that I don’t seem to fit in with the new company, their benefits seem to be top notch. My departure is most likely “when”, not “if”.

I completed the sale of my Prague registration yesterday as well. I’m regretting my decision, but also know that I am not going to attend.

We must have gotten more rain overnight, my water-catching trays are nearly full. Yesterday I calculated that for a half-inch of rain, each tray catches a half-gallon of water. Nice. I will use this water for crops, first, and when it runs out return to using the hose.

Morning run to Lowe’s for compost done! After posting this blog I shall be choring by transplanting a couple more squash and zucchini plants. I have more tomato plants to transplant, but may give up on the, as I have many plants which hopefully will produce fruit in the near future. I keep watching YouTube videos where they are now harvesting tomatoes and peppers, so clearly I missed the mark this year.

More rain is predicted for tonight so I better get at it.

Hope you are happy and healthy.

One of your friends lives right by Homegrown… hmmmm, who is that? 🤔

    • My calendar said that this friend was unavailable yesterday, something about her husband having custody… 🙄 Soon, when you are available, we will dine there again.

I had considered returning to Folk Art for the first time in years but they don’t open until 9am. Who can wait that late to eat breakfast?!?!

  2. Morning choring done! Some how I have already used three of the six bags of compost that I purchased this morning. At least more plants are in bigger pots so they have the tiniest opportunity to produce wee little vegetables.

  3. Rain gauge caught 1-3/8ths inches of rain yesterday. That’s quite a bit for a day that had little rain predicted.

  4. Whatever attempt I made to stop receiving pre-approved credit card offers in the mail has failed mightily. 😒

I had a busy day yesterday, first a morning focus group on showerheads, ($100 for my comments). Then lunch with a friend to gift the Braves bobble heads (I have no use for those sort of things). Afternoon was at Nielsen labs near GA Tech for another research thing. Spent most of the hour getting outfitted with a wired up cap, got into the room to watch the TV screen, not much happened, not much to look at on the screen. I think their systems were not working right. So, they said we were done, and i collected my $75 & left.

    • Damn Barb, you racked up yesterday! Hook Bonnie up, and me too once I am no longer employed. 😁

There’s plenty of websites, I’m trying to get on the lists. We will see whatever ones I can find.

I never get chosen because of my marketing background which is a nail in the coffin, and Davey said that if you’re unemployed you don’t get chosen as often but I guess that hasn’t been an issue for you!

          • Barb says:

Bonnie- don’t admit you worked for a marketing company in the past. And, I still have in the profiles I have a job……
            Whatever it takes…..

        • What’s the Statute of Limitations for your marketing background?

          • Bonnie says:

There isn’t any! They many times say “have you *ever* worked for…”. I get it, I just really thought this was going to be a way for me to relatively easily earn some of my keep. *Sigh.*

Clearly we need to teach you to lie.

Finally had Tuesday’s dinner as breakfast Wednesday morning before hiking into the office. Once there, completed packing up the de-installed equipment, doing a bit more testing and then took my very tired ass back south. Rain on and off all the way- I think I left at noon and arrived home at 5:40, so obviously traffic sucked.

Preparing this morning for our appraisal prior to refinancing the house. Yippee.

Daisy and the baby are off to Auburn for a little surgery.

I will see if I can make it over to BRAG HQ once they land in Senoia.

And I have to get ready for a weekend of soggy bike racing!
