BRAG Day 4: Rain arrived, getting everything wet. Thankfully everything in my tent stayed relatively dry.
Dinner was a fiasco that we will talk about for a long time. The story is too long and convoluted to recount here, next time we meet in person… Unfortunately, this also gave me the opportunity to overeat again, this time without having ridden a lot.
Wordle: four, my starter was DAILY
Wordle in 5 and I thought I might be going down in flames.
With the rain on and off all evening, there was no exercise. I got the part for the mower I ordered and put that on. I never got an email from them or any acknowledgement of my order, but apparently they are on the ball.
Be careful out there today. Can’t wait to hear the stories..

I CAN NOT WAIT TO HEAR DINNER FIASCO STORY!!!!
I ALSO ABSOLUTELY NEED TO HEAR THE DINNER FIASCO STORY!
sounds like we need to get Paulie to meet us for something on Sunday – Allan is working, so I can be available anytime!
I will be flying to Vienna on Sunday, so I will need some other method to hear the story. Also I don’t think I can wait that long!
Oh pleeeease… how many times have I used that excuse! (I crack myself up).
if I can get the scoop – I will figure out a way to forward it on to you!!!
There may be a night at Neil and Sue’s Saturday night.
wordle in 4 – I had to google – I do not know that word.
Got massages last night, and ate turkey soup for dinner. Took 2 containers across the street to the inlaws – and we still have plenty left over. We will freeze some, but there isn’t that much room int he freezer.
Turkey soup sounds really good right now. Alas, it will be several weeks before I can make any soup!
Met my friend Sarah at Kitty Dare for a delightful dinner. Their labneh is not as good as Del Bar’s, but it’s pretty good nonetheless.
In other news.. in walking around our “Fed” block yesterday, scouting locations for additional surveillance cameras, we encountered a self guided delivery cart!! Rolling north on the Peachtree sidewalk, got to 11th street and we kinda F’d with it by standing in its way. It moved side to side, sorta like a head fake until we got out of the way, then proceeded across 11th and on it’s way.
I saw another one parked on 11th street as I left to drive home. No obvious branding that I could see- Google has a big office nearby.
I’ve only seen a robot Chick-fil-a delivering.
sounds fun to mess with it.
I see the Waymo cars litrally every time I drive somewhere. Every morning and evening on my way to and from work, going to the gas station. They’re EVERYWHERE.
when we were in Phoenix, that is how I felt. I haven’t seen one here, but, I’m not in the city. Allan says they are everywhere too. A friend rode in one yesterday – it was an uber pickup.
Yeah, I’ve seen lots of Waymo cars, and I’ve heard of the CFA drones, but this was pretty nondescript. someone in our group said they had seen 4 in a group the other day- walking with a “minder”. Perhaps some sort of beta testing.
Done with today’s stage. In Clarksville.
