Though optimism isn’t really one of my core characteristics, I am hoping that the rain predicted for western North Carolina this weekend doesn’t come. Whatever happens, I’ll try to make the best of the situation.

Holy shit, it’s already the last day of July!

Wordle in 6 and you know why I sought some help. Such a bullshit word.

I am happy to report the tractor is HEALED! (in the Earnest Angely voice). No runs, no drips, no errors. Drain the mixed fluid, replug, fill, clean up the old fluid. Had we not gotten a little baby pool from the recent house cleaning/emptying from our equestrian friend, I’m not sure how I would have caught all the draining fluid. 4+ gallons in the system and not high enough for a 5 gallon bucket. Still need to check to see if I have enough in the system, as I didn’t fill the filter to start.

We needed something to watch and Debbie found Chicago Med. It might be too dark, but we shall see. Could someone please explain the attraction of White Lotus? Bizarre.

  2. I met a couple more sluggos today. Neither is as big as OG Sluggo, but maybe someday?

work has been busy- end of the month, plus the tariffs are supposed to be back on for Mexico – so my Tijuana customer is trying to get way too much product across the border by today.

Got Dad moved to the new place, it seems nice enough, but, will they really check on him enough? Time will tell. Did the hospice ppwk – its good for 3 months, but it auto-renews. the food for dinner was not very good, he wasn’t interested in eating much of it, so I had a little. By the time zi got home it was 9pm, and I just went to bed. I’m hungry this morning. I found waffles in the freezer.

Quiet night at home last night. Both our teams played afternoon games so we watched the first three episodes of season 4 of The Bear.

  6. This should come as no surprise, Atlanta United lost their first game in Leagues Cup last night.

  7. Bob says:

Getting ready to load up my truck with all the crap I’m bringing. I have way too much crap to pack up but it will make us all more comfortable so will be worth it.
My plans changed and I now don’t have to come home Sunday morning. However, I’m not going to pay for a second day of riding. Instead going to head to Cherokee to check out a trail I have not ridden. I can then head back to Sylva for post ride activities.

went by the grocery store – bought a dozen ears of local corn out in the parking lot. Not sure if it will last until I come home Wednesday, or if I can eat a dozen ears, so maybe I’ll cook it, cut it the cobs & bring it home in a zip lock (& maybe buy some more on Tuesday)
